Not that good the food here. Drinks are below average. Service also not that good.

Food is decent but not close to authentic Penang food and contain quite an amount of msg, as thirsty effect kicks in after a short while. Price is affordable and then ventilation is good.

Update Wed 9 Mar 2022 Original Wan Bu liao Kopitiam has shifted to KL since Dec 2021. Good Luck 99 Restaurant is at the same location. Has a good variety of popular local hawker stalls. Tried the duck egg fried kway tiaw and gua pau. Possibly the kopitiam for the most authentic Penang food in this suburb of Melaka about a long stone throw from the newly opened NSK hypermart. We first came here to meet a old lady friend. We have ordered the Penang Asam laksa and steamed soup. Penang fried kuay tiao has the delectable smokey flavour as it's cooked skillfully by an experienced uncle chef. The Wok Hei or high heat smoke can be clearly demonstrated during the quick frying process. Staff crew are friendly. Price is good value and parking is easy.

The shop serves you Penang style asam laksa, fried kwe tiao, prawn soup noodles, and local roasted pork, chicken or char siew rice. Taste wise is only very little similarity with what you have in Penang and expect to feel thirsty when broth is cooked with a generous amount of ajinomoto. I rated 3 star because of the fried kwe tiao and price for the food. The fried kwe tiao was the star of the shop because of the wok hei (鍋氣).

Food was meh. They have chicken rice, ckt with duck egg and normal ckt, prawn mee/hokkien mee, dim sum. Pay before you leave. Drinks were ok but food was meh.

Great tasting Penang style Char Kway Teow; lots of wok hei. Penang Hokkien prawn noodles is very tasty too. Chee Cheong Fun with yam cake is local style; Good. Pork based soups are good. Can get them without the rice. Good nasi lemak.

I was introduced to this place by my friend and it was my first visit here for breakfast. It is nearby NSK. I tried the Prawn mee (bee hoon & mee noodle mix) RM5.50, which was satisfactory. The broth was flavorful enough. I also rdered a pack of Penang Char Kway Teow RM5.50 for my lunch. The price was reasonable as it came with 3 prawns & sausage slices. More importantly, it was tasty. I will try the Nasi Lemak on my next visit.

I dropped by again as I missed the char kuay teow and noticed that this place has changed management ! It's now known as Good Luck 99 restaurant . The chef that used to fry the ckt was no longer there ? Decided to give it a try anyway and was most disappointed ?! Love the char kuay teow here ! Delicious and the pork mantou are not bad either ... The asam laksa is quite good too..
