Kampung Morten seems like an unlikely place to be found in the middle of the busy Malacca city but as incongruous as it is, it's quite a lovely tourist attraction. The village prominently highlights its traditional architecture and "kampong" vibe despite being next to the famous The Shore mall complex and the Melaka River where tourists from local and foreign alike frequently visit. Thus, its strategic location has attracted visitors on a daily basis.

Cons: foods are not that tasty (for me) except for the otak-otak ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stunning view during the evening walk. Though this is a tourist attraction, local people do come here for regular exercise along the river. Jogging and bicycle tracks are available.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you like the view of jonker street from the river, this place is worth visiting. The view is amazing with some bars and cafes located beside the riverside. Also there is some wall art painting which is worth looking at. Good place for a morning or evening jog as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to lepak at their food stall near the melaka river. Surrounded by traditional melaka houses. The village is clean n well kept . Hope the locals dont change their houses to modern design.
