★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OO White Coffee Cafe here in Carnarvon Street is not the only one in town - it proudly displays a banner inside the cafe telling everyone that their 4th outlet is situated at Waterfall hotel over at Gottlieb Road. But many say that this outlet has a better variety of food.
Each of the outlets run by OO has about the same variety of food, but what they have done is gather some of the "famous" stalls and house them together in their various outlets. So for this Carnarvon Street outlet - many would go for the Loo beef noodles which has earned a reputation amongst Penangites.
While it looks like any other coffee shop in Penang with food stalls in it, that's where the similarity ends. The drinks here are narrowed down to fruit juices, soft drinks and a few different teas - all charged a tad higher than your regular coffee shop, sometimes almost twice as expensive. Many have complained, but they still flock there, because of the food offerings.
In this Carnarvon Street outlet, there's also the egg tarts which are highly recommended. OO made such a name for itself with these tarts that it had to start a delivery service to various parts of mainland Penang. Unless you live too far away from OO, it's better to savour your tarts fresh and hot at the shop itself.
Not exactly a must visit, you'd probably be better off to stick to the egg tarts and beef noodles, as the other stalls are just average.

Fried O Chien (egg oysters) - the uncle only opens after 9am. It was crispy and the oysters were fresh and the uncle was not stingy with the oysters. Definitely recommend!
Char kway teow - the man also opens after 9am.
Got wok hei, there's hums in there. Would recommend!
Their eggs on toast are also quite delicious. Eggs were runny. Toast was buttery. Perfection!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expansive place to eat although the food I ordered smells nice and delicious. I tried the Oo kopi with charcoal grilled bread, beef noodles and the pen-fried oyster with eggs. The kopi cost RM3.3 and to me is starbucks grade coffee. It has the good kopi taste but I will not purposely come again. The beef noodles is nice too but expansive IMHO. Lastly the Fried oyster is too oily.....
Can try once but not for frequent patronizing.....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The kaya toast was nice . Preferred the Curry Mee sold in Mainland . The CKT was OK . The Oyster Omelette was a more of a Thai Style IMO . The Cham Ice Kosong was OK. A good tourist spot if you are bringing friends to look for Penang food

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This cafe is a must-try, albeit having long queue almost every weekend. A lot of visitors come to this cafe for breakfast too. The coffee is unique and tasty. The food is delicious too.
Although crowded and busy, the staff are usually very kind and helpful too. The only downside is that parking could be insufficient, which is always a problem for famous cafe. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool environment to chill with your friends and family. Tried the signature Ipoh white coffee and it was so good!! Ordered 3 types of toasts and tasted great too. Stayed for a long time here just drinking coffee and talking. The staff here are so friendly and can see why people love to come here.
