β β β β β Its a clean environment to hang out with family and friends. The drinks are satisfactory. However, I feel as though the price is not worth the meal I had. For all three meals, including the Omurice, we got the garlic rice. For the Omurice, I expected some special fried rice instead. The terriyaki chicken was tough and hard.
But I was very impressed by the chicken katsu curry rice as it had all the elements needed to make a good katsu curry. I would definitely recommend the chicken teriyaki pizza. It was cheesy, tasty and the dough had the perfect crunch to it.
Overall, Pasta Zanmai delivered a satisfactory experience.

β β β β β The quality and taste of the food here took a turn for the worse when they let unqualified staff (foreigners) run the kitchen.
They are not qualified for the job and this is reflected in the food. The food presentation make the dishes look unappetising and messy.
The taste especially suffered the most. Itβs not as authentic as before. Fried prawn is badly cooked, the oil smells weird. Sesame sauce is too diluted.
The back of the restaurant is always too dim for comfort like the place is closing down or not ready to serve. But price remains the same despite the drop in quality.
Give this place a miss until they come to their senses and get real cooks to cook real food.

β β β β β One of the last surviving outlet. I honestly feel sorry for their staff working here. 2 floor staff to serve and order... 2 kitchen staff to handle in house order and take away. The owner must have done something right in the past life to have this 4 awesome staff running for them.
Service: polite and good 8/10
Food: decent and consistent 7/10
Price: average abt myr15 to 25 per pax
Quality: 7.5/10
We were pre warned abt the delay which we are happy to wait. Only issue for us that 3 tables that came in 15 to 20 mins later than us got their meals completed b4 us. We had 4 orders.. 1st one came abt 35 mins after we place the order. 2nd one abt 15 mins after the 1st.. 3rd and 4th abt 20 mins after the 2nd one. Hope the staff will be rewarded by their mgmt next

β β β β β Seemed short staffed when I was there but the staff that were available were very pleasant, attentive and polite. Food was a great craving fix. I wish that the white sauce for my pasta was a little bit thicker but otherwise I enjoyed my meal very much.

β β β β β 1 of my favorite Japanese restaurants. The combo meal is value for money for 2 persons and above.
This branch is less crowded. Service is good. The food is nice. The extra order of saba fish is yummy and value for money.

β β β β β What's amazing about this outlet is how just 4 persons can run the whole place - 2 cooks and 2 servers. As a result, service is limited but cordial and expect to have to wait a bit (first dish came within 15min but the last dish came after 30min+). No worries as it was a chillax weekend. Food wise is yummy but do expect certain staple dishes not being available like pizza and chicken teriyaki on the day we were there.
