β β β β β Place is cozy and fancy however, we dont really enjoy it. There are few reasons:
- food are much more expensive compared to their sister company, Sushi Zanmai.
- Service really bad. we ordered 3 sets for dinner, supposed to come with chawanmushi, however they run out of it. So ask if ok to be replaced by Tamago which we agreed. Apparently, tamago also done, they replace it with Salad without consulting with us. We are so dissapointed with the service. Aiming higher market but the service is like food stall.
- Zanmai sushi taste better, and service much better. Dont order Yakiniku... Very chewy
- staff arent so helpful
I dont think we will comeback my kids dont enjoy it as well. Normally they really like sushi ?.

β β β β β I really cant complain about the food and the value. Most times, if I got to Japanese restaurants, I would get the rice bowl set, whatever it is. Rakuzen served one of the better ones I've had of franchise Japanese restaurants. The miso soup and sushi is also tasty. I'd also recommend having a look at the dessert menu.
The service was great when we came in, and up til we got our food. But after that we felt a little bit neglected, and our empty food was just left on our tables for some time even though the manager was passing us by frequently. Still, it is a nice environment to chill in as it's very comfortable.

β β β β β Visited the nu sentral outlet during lunch hour. The manager informed everyone the waiting time will be 30min or more before he seats the customers.
I was given a seat at the sushi counter together with another lone diner. The sushi chef was friendly and showing concerned after seeing me waited for more than 20min.
He asked if I need a drink then checked my order with the kitchen. He then later make me a complimentary appetiser while I was still waiting. Very nice gesture and considerate staff. Definitely deserve a good bonus for such service. Thumbs up!
