Tasty Kerala Thali Meals. Type of rice used is very good. Chicken also good. Price is very reasonable. Friendly waiter too. Suggestions to owner : Please tint your mirror or install some blinds curtains. Sun reflection from car parked outside is disturbing and bringing heat in. Need to take care of flies too.

We initially was thinking of the thai restaurant next door, so we browse through the menu, for that good 5 minutes there is not one serving us. So we walk around then turn back to this restaurant Daawat, for less than 5 minutes, the owner has already open the door welcoming us, introduce what can we eat (as we are not familiar with northern Indian food). So we just thought of give it a try. Conclusion good fusion of northern Indian food, good service, worth to recommend and visit again.

Food was very traditional- Malabar/ Kerala style. We ordered vege banana leaf, malabar chicken biryani, roasted chicken, meen pollichathu and ayurvadic chukku kapi(coffee). Food was delicuous and value for money. Parking a bit challenge/expensive else all good.

Pretty good Keralan cuisine. Simple no frills restaurant. Friendly staff. Bit pricey. We tried quite a bit. Ask for recommendations if unsure. The curries were packed with flavor. Payasam with the thali set was rich & yummy. Will surely return to try out more dishes.

The food is authentic malabar/Kerala food being a keralite myself, I can testify. Although I haven’t tried all the items on the menu, as far as I’ve tasted and had different dishes on their menu, all of them were delicious and really good. The consistency is almost equal at every order or every visit to this restaurant. I went in for the Onam Sadhya and it was awesome one of the best I’ve had in Malaysia. Everything is good, the food and the service, today was a bit off but I understand it’s due to the onam rush which is completely understandable, yet the food was really good. They may not be perfect but always room to get better. Keep up the good work guys and maintain the authenticity.

Well, to be honest, it's my first time having Kerala/Malabari cuisine. I've only heard, seen and imagine how it'd be like but when we came here, oh my god! the food is truly tasty and delicious. We ordered the Malabari Biriyani, mutton and fish. They were generous with the mutton and fish and the rice was nothing short of super delicious. In fact, you can actually taste the difference between the one that came with fish and the one with the mutton. The chef knows his stuff. Loved it. We also ordered the Fish Pollichathu and a squid dish. The fish is wrapped in a banana leaf, being marinated with herbs and spices. You'd immediate know that it's just delicious. Amazing to the taste. Sits up to 6 per table, can accommodate more if tables are combine. Cozy and roomy ambient. Our waiter was very good at given us some tips on ordering. Appreciate that simple gesture. Overall, had a great time and amazing food. I'd go here again. It's in the middle of Petaling Street, almost, so parking isn't easy, you would want to park at the nearby building or part at Central Market's open air parking and walk across.

One of my favorite south indian restaurant around Kuala Lumpur..They serve authentic kerala dishes and other South and North Indian cuisines..The food served by this restaurant is quite delectable and luscious, especially the kerala porota and fry meats..They also served Dum biryani, Kizhi porota and almost all of kerala cuisines. They also provide online order for dishes with help of different delivery options..Also they do catering service around Klang valley...The customer service provided by this firm is absolutely fantastic..The staff are affable, amiable and congenial and it is quite a pleasure to be served by them.. If you are in KL and craving for Kerala food, this restaurant is the best option. A pocket friendly restaurant with lots of cuisines..

Its a must try for Kerala authentic food lovers...maybe 1st in KL whose taste matches the very close to Kerala food. Kerala parottas are to die for...all their food is spicy for my taste buds but still cant give up eating.
