★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been a great supporter for Pekin Restoran, but this afternoon I'm deeply disappointed by the dishes.
Food quality has dropped. The rice is mushy, sambal prawn was deep fried before it was stirred with sambal sauce and not the usual 'Ummp!" taste I've enjoyed. I've ordered a whole roast duck and it appeared drier and smaller. The price has also increased from RM48 to RM55 about 2 month's ago to now RM65. It tasted much salty, drier (not the usual crispy on the outside and moist & juicer meat layer). Foods are much more salty nowadays. Seems like the good chefs have left...other than a tranquil environment and some claypot dishes still maintain good standards... if business continues like this --- HABIS ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spacious yet cosy ambience at this particular outlet. The toilets are clean and airy. Service is attentive. Food was served promptly. Only minus was the cantonese style steamed fish was overcooked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the top places in JB for Chinese cuisine. Lovely deco, easy parking, great service, well priced delicious food. What more could you ask for? Highly recommended.
The only catch now is the rather limited menu as the evolving Covid situation creates uneven demands especially for high priced items. Completely understandable, food wastage is bad for the environment, just give a call a day prior to pre-order.

it's been quite a while have not been to Restoran Pekin . Went there to celebrate Mother Day. Food quality and standard still remains. It is still a recommended place for lunch or dinner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad service for our second visit. Waited 1 hour and our food was not served. The next table food was served although they came after us. When we asked the waiters, they said will check but no response. The boy who took our orders also missing. The fish was served after 1 hour 30min but other dishes or rice was not served for next 15 min. The fish was cold. Then when asked the manager, then she went to check. The kitchen missed placed our order and toufu is out of stock because served other tables. Disappointed with the service and the way the handle it.
