★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great time in Penang and 77 Bar definitely contributed it a lot to the experience. Very chilled atmosphere, friendly staff, and affordable but quality drinks, such a nice place to wind down after busy day sightseeing. Additionally, the owner (Neal) was so welcoming and he’d chat with all of the customers and share his knowledge about the city. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone who visits Penang.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Says 1st come 1st serve. But all tables are already reserved when we arrived by 10pm even if it is still empty. The place was really not that busy even if it is CNY. The waiter said that it had been reserved and even the standing bar counter area were all been reserved. We just advised him that we will just stay at standing bar counter area until the people who reserved it comes. We were at that standing bar counter area until 11:40pm and no one arrived to get that standing bar counter area.
Moreover, the people who arrived at the reserved table were the waiter's friends who arrived by 11pm. Too much for the First come First serve policy.

Place comes with a song request system VIA mobile app, definitely a great way to have fun with your friends while picking your fav songs. Make sure to drop by for a drink with friends and have a chat with the owner :) Hope business is all good!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great to see Seventy7 thriving in this stylish new location on Jln Chow Thye. I visit Penang every 3-4 months and am delighted to see 77 even busier and happier in it's new home. Much cosier, nicer environment with the same prices! Also glad to hear hip music not karaoke on Friday & Saturday nights. CU next time guys :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice little spot in a quiet end of Georgetown - good atmosphere, very cosy, friendly staff, good selection of drinks and a few doors down from a very good Nyonya restaurant. Late crowd, so a good place for after dinner drinks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The bar, located in one of Penang's stretch of old, quaint buildings, is where I go to whenever I'm in Penang for the weekend. I've gone both alone and with friends as a group and have never felt out of place. Both the owners are very warm, welcoming and easy to converse with. My go-to drink is their Long Island bucket. Yes, it's a bucket, not a tall glass and it's very affordable. Another thing about the place is this rather brilliant concept of having a virtual jukebox where everyone can vote for their song of choice. I've not seen that anywhere else. It's really quite fun. I have been going to the bar since they opened years ago. That itself says something.
