Think food quality is average. Not as tasty as we imagined it to be. But still OK. Think we got the marmite chicken and nonya pork that's worth going for.

During CNY, prior reservation and food order is needed. Otherwise, it will be full house by 7pm. Air conditioned and non air conditioned area. Seafood such as crab, prawn, lala, squid, fish, mantis. Others such as braised pork, vegetable, egg, crab porridge. Drinks such as nutmeg asam served in jug. Chinese tea is not available. Food served quite fast. Due to CNY, food such as fish not cooked well. Saw one table fish have to be recooked as it is not well cooked ?‍♂️. Cash term, otherwise accept ewallet (TouchNGo).

The food is good and delicious, curry fish a bit sweet, fried little sotong is tested good, car park is limitation, when full house is need to wait, finally I like to highlight is the crew service is not friendly, some of them totally ignore when you call.

Soon Lai Seafood offer wide variety of Chinese stir fry dishes and seafood. This is what we ordered: 1) netum mantis prawn - not bad, crunchy, buttery, fragrant and sweet, would be better with chili padi. 2) steam fish in soy sauce - fresh and tender, drawback is a little bit salty 3) stir fry sweet potato leaves - not bad Would come back next time to try their claypot tofu & seafood bihun

The must try dish is the fried salted egg mantis prawn. It's so good! It can be very busy, so make sure to come early. There's no reservation on weekends.

Food quality has deteriorated. Crab dishes a little over cooked. Pig throtter also overcooked and very tough. SiaKap Fish also overcooked, very dry inside. Taking orders also very impatient. But restaurant very big, can accommodate many large tables. There is the aircon section at the inner portion and non-aircon section at the outside. Price is average. Ample parking around the housing area.

[holiao] 1) Overall - Chinese stir fry restaurant, average cleanliness, spacious seating area but limited parking, clean and offer both open air and air cond seating, plenty of food selection and all tasted above average and fresh, must order salted egg/nestum mantis shrimp, steam fish in Soon Lai Seafood 2) Nestum mantis shrimp/prawn - fresh and full of prawn meat, full of eggs and less-flour batter, generous portion of nestum and mantis prawn, addition of curry leaf levels up the flavour of the dish, crunchy and good combo with rice, kids favourite too 3) steamed fish - very fresh fish fillet, simply steamed with ginger slices, could still taste the sweetness of the fish, must order 4) stir fry vegetable - tasted above average, got wok hei

Ordered nestum mantis prawn, sizzling bean curd, and beans dishes. Potion prepared enough for 4 pax. Since only the 2 of us, so the left over tapao back ? Price are still reasonable. This is the usual place for locals to have their family meals. Got indoor and outdoor seating.
