My first omakase experience. Even it was a very expensive lunch, but worth it. The chef was well prepared and explained every single dish. Overall the food is great, even the chawamushi is superb, very soft and creamy. One of my favourite sushi is the baby tuna sushi. It just melt in the mouth and word cannot explain the superb flavour.

If you want to sit by the bar, you need to book 1-2 months in advance. Or else, you may sit in the private room. Food: 10/10 Service: 8/10 Ordered Omakase lunch and the ingredients were super fresh, absolutely enjoyed the lunch. Will definitely visit this place again.

If you have a day left to live and decided to spend it having a traditional Japanese style omakase and don't have the luxury for error, visit Sushi Ori. Every nigiri was hand made by him, so no matter how many times you visited, the consistency will be there. It is a traditional-styled omakase so expect to experience the ingredients itself at its finest. If you are looking for a foie gras topped with otoro topped with uni topped with caviar truffle gold leafs sushi, this is not the place. A definite place to visit every season for omakase lovers.

One of my fav omakase joints bfr covid hit, finally managed to get a booking after so long. Food was good as always. I enjoyed the various sauces & fishes. Engawa was super underwhelming though, it was quite bland for me compared to before. Chef Ori was also rather quiet that night, could be tired from the daily routine. All in all, an ok experience.

Consistency is key at Sushi Ori. Decent quality ingredients at a decent price point with attentive service as the norm. Chef Ori’s establishment has served up some of the best sushi in town for many years. His popularity has reached epic proportions in recent years. Reservations for counter seats must be made way in advance. This season’s menu is slightly underwhelming. However, this is testament to the quality served in his past menus. Would still recommend albeit with a more open and forgiving mind.

Taste: 5/5 ⭐ | Service: 5/5 ⭐ | Ambience: 5/5 ⭐ Price: RM780 per pax before tax | Number of pax: 2 Finally visited this Omakase place which we have heard so many good things about. You can make reservations easily online but the waiting period is a bit long, about a month or so. After all, they only have about 8 counter seats (highly recommended) per slot. We had the Omakase Kohaku. The courses were curated very well with fresh seasonal ingredients and amazing flavours. It felt like we were going on a journey with our tastebuds. Even very basic dishes like Chawanmushi was so well done. The spectacular meal ended with a juicy Yuzu inari sushi which was a burst of flavours in our mouths. The tamago that was served with it also tasted splendid, almost like a cheesecake. We have no bad things to say about our experience here. Chef Ori was very patient in explaining the dishes and took the time to make conversation with us. The service by the staff was also really good and they were all really attentive. Money very well spent as you’re not only paying for high quality ingredients, but also for the skills and hard work that goes behind preparing each dish. Best item of the visit: Everything lol.
