β β β β β Quite disappointed with the 12 courses Omakase set.
Foods are no fresh, what a waste money to eat here. One of the earlier pictures posted by a reviewer with a box of Uni served for his/her Omakase dinner?!?!? I would like to know which Omakase set is that? Or it is one of the restaurant friends of family members who posted that review. Please go to a real Japanese Omakase restaurant with a real Japanese chef such as Nobu, Kame Sushi and Sushi Hibiki (same price range)

β β β β β A quiet place for lunch with sufficient parking in the premises on a weekday. Staff are attentive and mostly Mandarin speaking.
The dishes are mostly well executed with fresh seafood. The standout items we ordered were the crowd favourite engawa sushi (rm18 per piece), silky smooth cawanmushi topped with crab meat and Yuzu peel (rm18), and the yakitori/kushiyaki items paired with a sweet vinegar.
The sake salad topped with salmon skin, roe, skin, sashimi and smoked salmon was dressed with commercial wafu dressing did not excite the palate and only served to add some greens to our meal.
The soft shell crab roll had too much rice which was too tightly packed with tobiko roe that gave a hard crunch but no additional flavour. The end result was a dry chewy rice puck that didn't go down well despite the spicy mayo.
Overall will come back again to try some of the other items. Also heard from friends that their simple looking udon was outstanding.
Price is on the premium side with the bill coming up to over RM300 for 2 pax.

β β β β β Went there in Dec 2021 to celebrate my bff birthday. he ambiance is lovely and perfect for special occasions as it the glass window goes up to the roof, where you can view the sky and KLCC (but you need to request for counter seat. And it is only for Omakase course) A MUST to request for sushi counter seating!!
However, the food is quite disappointing. The sushi is fine, just some of it is not as tasteful. And it is not up yo my expectation as promoted. I separately ordered a pan seared FoieGras and it is very oily, with no taste.

β β β β β Had my best omakase last night at Wagaya KL. The food are all fresh and nice. From design to texture and taste everything are on point. Love how the chef prepares the food and telling us patiently about the food. The environment is nice, staff service 100%. All I can say is definitely a nice play to celebrate any occasion β€οΈβ€οΈ
