Come here because dont want to queue at those "famous" shop, but the taste is supremely good. Only bad is the service especially those bangla worker. Sibeh guailan. Ignore us and call them still stare at us.

Big small leg - alternate name for this place, which means chicken feet and pork knuckle. One of the signature dish for this restaurant Open until late night, and outdoor seating will be the best choice to have fun with friends and families. One of the most well known place for serving food at late night, and also their food. Food quality wise, for me is ok - nothing extraordinary. You can have those fish balss, meatballs, tofu and noodles too.

It is kinda out of the way for simple horfun and others yeong tau foo. Steam chicken is so-so. But the Tau Foo Far and other soy products are great and super soft & fine. The Tau Foo Far with gingered-sugar was excellent. The sweetness was mastered perfectly, at least to my taste.

Mini Ipoh Series - because it's way backlogged ? This was actually a re-visit one year in the making - after I was brought here by an associate who has been living in Ipoh for most part of his life, I made it a point to bring the family here on my next trip to the capital of Perak Darul Ridzuan. Again, Pasir Pinji is an area which I am not familiar of but this time I have Waze to guide me instead of being chaffeured like last time. It took us about 30 minutes (give and take) from our hotel to reach there, but it was all worth it. The locals refer this place as "big small leg" or "dai sai keok" in Cantonese, the dialect widely spoken here. ◾大脚 & 小脚 - the dai keok refers to the braised pork leg while sai keok is the braised chicken feet; both braised until tender and I could literally devour everything without much effort. Taste-wise not as strong nor powerful, but the taste has been the same as it was since the early days. ◾poached chicken - I'd say that it was almost as good as some of the better poached chicken out there.. smooth yellowish skin with juicy & tender meat doused with soy sauce. ◾ipoh bean sprouts - I had never doubt Ipoh's taugeh before and this was no exceptions. ◾Since we were in a very big group, we could afford to order a lot more items this time... Hence more "liew" - take a peek at the stall and just point to anything that strikes your fancy. ◾Ipoh hot fun both in soup & dry style - whichever that you feel like eating that evening. Suffice to say that the hungry packs proceed to clean up everything that was served without any complaints. But at the end of the meal, they were still hungry so second round it was. They only open late afternoon (around 4pm) until late night or when the food is finished .. whichever earlier.

Big small feet (pig knuckle chicken feet) is a fabulous neighbourhood institution that has been in operation well before the Mrs' time growing. She has been eating here when she was a kid! Not surprisingly, even 50 years ago they were serving pig knuckles and chicken feet! Additionally, their stuffed tofu and noodles (lo shu fun my favourite) are consistently tasty. Gastronomically, they don't do anything Earth changing but have served comfort food deliciously and consistently for many years and will always be one of our late-night favourites! All of the courteous and attentive employees observe COVID protocols and best practices.
