Been here 30 years ago. Taste as good as the old times. No more coconut trees ...but friendly service, reasonable pricing and great taste remain! Legendary taste !!

Food was reasonably priced and the place was very big, good for social distancing. Everything tasted great. We even took away some crab.

Amu restaurant is one of the best seafood restaurant in varieties and flavor. Everything we ordered from Kam heong crab to the dry butter prawn mantis were packed with flavor. Another dish worth mentioning was the claypot grouper fish which was fresh and well infused with soy sauce and ginger. Amu’s cooking makes me feel at home. Almost like a meal away from home. Fresh, cheap and good; that’s the three pillars of Amu’s seafood.

It is definitely not "THE Place" to go to to have good seafood setiawan cuisines. It is not bad, but nothing to shout about. I just wonder if the "oh chien" (oyster omelets) is done deep fried in Setiawan? If it is really deep fried version, then the talked about "oh chien" is a real let down. Will we return, guess not as we will try others when we are back in Setiawan.

Order 8 dish in total, 2 vege, 1 salted egg prawns, steam lala, oyster omelette, tofu with crab sauce, petai belacan, steam soon hock fillet, 2 stout & coconut wine in total rm260. Taste wise okok, price wise is cheap, environment okok, if they will improve thier cleanliness & food taste it will be good

Very disappointed. It's so close to the sea yet they want to serve not fresh sea food. The prawn got very soft texture, it's at least more than ten days ago prawn. Also super salted. You know not fresh means very salted. Salt could preserve food right. Don't go. Just go to your nearby restaurant you could get better fresh food. This was a famous restaurant years ago when the dad was still alive. It fell from grace, the taste is bad since the dad went to heaven and the son took over.
