Non smoking law is strictly followed at this coffee shop. The floor is clean now compared with those period when smoking was allowed. Not even a cigarette butt is on the floor. Keep up the good work Minister of Health. You can find most of the street food at this shop. The hainan chicken rice....a must eat here.

Check out the stall that sells char kway teow and fried rice. Both the dishes are delicious, tasty, served with tasty spicy sambal. Also check out the cold cham, milk tea and coffee from the restaurant ...superb!

Ancient City Coffee. Nice name, isn't it? Besides the bright terracotta colour on the outside, it's basically a regular coffee shop that's popular in the mornings and during lunch time. Located on a busy street, parking may be a problem. Haven't had the chance to try out all the hawker dishes yet. I will return.

Prawn noodle in this shop is not bad, but it's price is slightly above average price in KL area. And surprisingly I ordered their teh, it is nice, the taste was smooth and good! I like it!!

It was always considered a secondary restaurant in the corner of the old Jalan Ipoh since the Jalan Kuching redesigned the topography and also became a toll free main road decades ago. The principal restaurant here is Keng Nam Hai, since the boss was renowned for his coffee brewing technique. However, due to a rental dispute, that boss decided to quit Keng Nam Hai and came to this corner for new business several years ago. This restaurant was still not renamed as Ancient City Coffee then. Nevertheless, most outsider consumers still thought that Keng Nam Hai is the best coffee house and they never visited this small corner. Then the old boss died one day. It was then a new boss took it and renamed it as such with fancy wall painting. It was indeed a good idea and now you may enjoy some nice chicken rice and good roasted pork here.
