★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The whole point about Ayam penyet is its sambal. Having said that, this particular outlet in Sungai Petani failed to deliver the standard taste of AP’s signature sambal taste. The sambal here tastes like regular sambal belacan. On top of that, the kitchen staffs are not serious and asked us to wait for 20 minutes for them to prepare and fry the chicken. I hope that the franchise owner could do random checks so that the service and food could remain with the likes of other restaurants in different cities because I am an Ayam Penyet lover.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there for a lunch on saturday, and there was like 3 staffs only? The cashier is the waiter as well as the one making beverages. Poor him. The taste is average as compared to other branch. Needs improvement on staff management.

2. Staff not friendly at all. U need to order urself at counter and pay first. We were sitting at table looking for the attendent but the staff at cashier just didnt bother until i go to the counter.
3. Expensive for the food and taste. The rice and sambal portion is very little, need to add on with charges for additional sambal.
4. Non hygenic, same staff who prepare drinks and cleans the table.
5. The environment is ok2 only, not worth for the price including service charge u pay for.
6. The taste and aroma of ayam rendang is good. The only thing with a good experience.
Actually you can read the other reviews, but most of it are not improved and looks same for years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awful taste!! How could someone possibly mess up a simple dish of plain white rice with fried chicken?? Paid Rm57 for two set meals.Totally not worth it. Please stay away from this place. The fried chicken was tasteless, the sambal was so dull, no taste and the soup tasted like warm water with maggi chicken cube. Waste of money, time and effort. We could not even manage to finished the dishes we ordered. The family sitting next to our table also did not finished their meal..Will not come here again ever.
