To compare the taste with Pak Tam Mee Udang, maybe Ayu Mee Udang taste Sligh better.
But because Ayu mee Udang is actually located near a neighborhood, come early to avoid spending time searching for parking. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the service was quite fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Malay version of the “Har Meen” or “Hokkien Mee” in the local dialect. Definitely unique to this part of the island, State and country. Sequestered within the village of Teluk Kumbar on the south side of Penang amongst a mixed Malay-Chinese residential neighbourhood is this well known purveyor of the ubiquitous prawn noodle.
Each plate comes with four big crustaceans, hard boiled egg, fried shallots, yellow noodles and a squeeze of calamansi. The thickish broth is sweetish, slightly spicy and very umami. First ate here probably 6 years ago which left a lasting impression ever since. Finally got to enjoy it again after a colleague showed me the way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is located in the remote place at teluk kumbar. Parking is very limited.. the shops open at 1.30 pm and close on sunday and monday.
Quality of food is great and comes with hefty price.. Worth it to try and im sure ill come again for the next trip
