★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would say I’m extremely traumatised after what had happened to me from my first time visit to this salon. I random pick this salon because all muslimah-friendly salon in Wangsa Maju that I short-listed are closed. So came across this salon, even though it stated unisex salon, I asked the lady owner if could provide muslimah-friendly area which is covered since I’m wearing a hijab. And if the products she used is halal-base or not? She replied “Yes, I have covered area for you. Don’t worry, my husband will stay in the room. And yes of course I’m using halal-base products, it’s from US.” So I agreed to proceed since she promised me these.
The tragedy started when she put the bleach and it was so painful like the chemical eating up my scalp. I’m sweating painfully and almost blubber out! I told her this is too strong, she keeps on denied it. She even told me that my scalp is not healthy, that’s why I feel the pain. The best part is, when the other 2 female customers went in, her husband came out and attended to them, suddenly the customers changed their mind maybe after they saw my long face trying to bear with the pain. After they left, her husband simply grab the hairdryer and blow dry my hair WITHOUT my consent! I feel so embarrassed and cheated. This is the 3rd time I remind that lady that I want a covered area where only herself do my hair. Her husband reacted like clueless with my request. FYI, this couple is a Malay Muslim.
Second tragedy when the lady AGAIN refused to follow my request. I asked her to just blow dry for final touch, she forced me to do straightening. I rejected, she forced me again. So I was like disheartened and just accept. Suddenly she told me straightening add another RM15. Again I feel cheated! She applied the serum that hairdresser usually give for free as for final touch up on my hair, and she charged me for RM10 which she didn’t tell me at the first place! She trying to upsell EVERY SINGLE THING in her salon. Be it the products, the service, even the FOODS! I felt very uncomfortable and uneasy. I’ve been to hundreds of salon, but none of it was as worst as this one. If I go to Chinese owned salon, the hairdresser would suggest me this and that, but if I refused, they won’t force me.
Third tragedy when it comes to the bill. Whallaaaa! Total bill from RM300 when I asked her roughly budget to do color and bleaching went up to RM405!!!!!! I really don’t mind about money, but the finishing result was EXTREMELY AWFUL! Why?
1) My hair color was imbalance even after bleaching, the silly reason she gave my previous color so stubborn and not easily come out.
2) There’s few burned skin on my scalp I believe because of bleaching. ?
3) There’s few colouring product residue on my scalp, meaning my hair wasn’t been wash properly. ?
With that amount of money, I would rather go to RidzOkumura, Chez Studio, Michael & guys and other top salon in KL! Why would I spend on tiny infamous salon but price like top brand salon yet the result is SUPER UGLY!
After that tragedy happened, few info I received from people surrounding, that salon is a CUT-THROAT salon. 25 years experience claimed is just a lame intro.
I advise you please don’t go to this salon, there are thousands of better salon out there. If you insist, it’s at your own risk. This would be the worst salon in my life, and of course, BANNED!
