Very nice place to have an egg Benedict or coffee. Very chill place too. Beware, opening hours is 11 am instead of 10 am.

An oasis of calm in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Jonker Street. Visited recently on a Monday lunch time . Menu is an eclectic mix of East and Western fusion. Atmosphere was lovely. The salted egg carbonara with smoked duck was decadent . The pasta was properly al dente , with the onsen egg on top for the carbonara effect . Unfortunately the sauce was a bit too liquid , thus the dish felt a bit watered down. The gula melaka latte was sweet and delicious . All in all a very satisfactory lunch

A bit quiet during our visit, and there is only like two cakes available. But they do serve all the drinks on the menu, and of course there are several food on the menu. Love my Chai Latte, and the Burnt Cheesecake is recommendable. Atmosphere is nice.

Nice ambience and setting, situated on the inside of another larger shop. At this shop, you need to order and pay first at counter, but drinks will be served at your table. They also provide FOC filtered water. Great place to work as it's relatively quiet, and as a plus the lighting here is really good for photos!

A great quiet café just at the start of Jonker Street to chill out or work. It's located at the back of the Fomec shop. If you're driving there's the Jonker Street Parking right across the street. The coffee was great and the food was solid. A little pricey but if you're looking to work out of a café this is the best one in Melaka so far.

The place kinda hidden from the roadside. Need to park your car and walk around 10 minutes to arrive at the location. You need to find their signboard and enter the souvenir shop then you can enter the cafe from inside. Cafe is so cozy, minimalist style and nice cafe for taking photo, not much choice of food but suitable for someone who want to relaxe and calm while having some food and drink. Fyi, they don't accept debit or credit card. Better to prepare some cash, or using cashless apps (Boost or TnG wallet only)

This cafe is definitely one of the hidden gem in town. It just lay there quietly and silently without much celebrity announced. to find it also not an easy task..hehe, u had to find the Fomex building first and to ur surprise the location of the cafe fixed the name of it.... 'backlane it is'. Overall nice set up and clean area. No crowd at all in friday afternoon. good place for a tea break or novel break, after a hassle walk in this historical town..some even take pre- wedding picture in this unique cafe. Absolutely will come back again in near future to discover more of its beauty.

Flat white is pretty good and delightfully strong coffee paired with thick creaminess makes a good match. Shaksouka taste decent but the sauce could be thicker for a more satisfying bread dipping experience. Will go back and try other dishes. The environment is bright and sunny especially tables along the window facing the backlane. Staff is pleasant and offers polite service.
