Seawal tahun 1962, sebuah Pondok Polis telah diwujudkan untuk menjaga keselamatan, keamanan dan ketenteraman awam penduduk di kawasan pentadbiran. Pada 16hb Disember 1982, pihak Kerajaan telah menaiktaraf dengan pembinaan sebuah bangunan Balai Polis yang baru bagi menggantikan Pondok Polis dan telah beroperasi sepenuhnya pada 15hb Februari 1983 sebagaimana bangunan Balai Polis Sungai Lui yang ada sekarang. Keanggotaan yang ada di bangunan baru pada masa itu adalah terdiri daripada 1 Koperal dan 4 anggota. Keluasan Balai Polis Sungai Lui lebih kurang 2.5 ekar persegi.
Kawasan Pentadbiran
Balai Polis Sungai Lui terletak di dalam kawasan Daerah Jempol, di bawah Pentadbiran Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Jempol, Negeri Sembilan dan keluasan kawasan pentadbiran adalah lebih kurang 96 kilometer persegi atau 10% keluasan di dalam Daerah Jempol, Negeri Sembilan. Kedudukan Balai Polis Sungai Lui bersempadan dengan Daerah Bera, Pahang disebelah utara, Pentadbiran Balai Polis Air Hitam di sebelah selatan, kawasan Felda Tembangau, Pahang di sebelah barat dan Daerah Jelebu di sebelah timur. Jarak perjalanan dari Balai Polis Sungai Lui ke Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Jempol adalah sejauh 25 kilometer melalui Jalan Bahau-Kemayan yang juga merupakan laluan utama perhubungan antara Negeri Sembilan dan Pahang. Juga terdapat laluan keretapi dari Pekan Bahau ke Pekan Kemayan sejauh 32 kilometer yang merintangi kawasan tengah Pentadbiran Balai Polis Sungai Lui. Pekan Kemayan, Pahang merupakan pekan yang berhampiran dengan Balai Polis Sungai Lui iaitu sejauh 7 kilometer. Terdapat dua buah mukim di Bawah Pentadbiran Balai Polis Sungai Lui, iaitu Mukim Serting Ulu dan Mukim Serting Hilir. Kawasan Pentadbiran Balai Polis Sungai Lui terletak di kawasan Parlimen Jelebu (P126) dan DUN Lui (N13).
Background
As early as 1962, a Police Station was established to maintain the safety, security and public order of the residents in the administrative area. On December 16, 1982, the Government upgraded the construction of a new Police Station building to replace the Police Station and was fully operational on February 15, 1983 as the current Sungai Lui Police Station building. The membership of the new building at that time consisted of 1 Corporal and 4 members. The Lui River Police Station is approximately 2.5 square acres.
Administration area
Sungai Lui Police Station is located in the area of Jempol District, under the Administration of Jempol District Police Headquarters, Negeri Sembilan and the area of administration is approximately 96 square kilometers or 10% of the area within Jempol District, Negeri Sembilan. The Lui River Police Station is bordered by Bera District, Pahang to the north, Black Water Police Station to the south, Felda Tembangau area, Pahang to the west and Jelebu District to the east. The distance from Sungai Lui Police Station to Jempol District Police Headquarters is 25 kilometers via Bahau-Kemayan Road, which is also the main link between Negeri Sembilan and Pahang. There is also a railway line from Bahau Town to Kemayan Town which is 32 kilometers from the central area of the Lui Police Station. Kemayan town, Pahang is a town close to the Lui River Police Station about 7 kilometers away. There are two sub-divisions in the Lui River Police Station, namely Ulu Serting and Ulu Serting Downstream. The administrative area of Sungai Lui Police Station is located in Jelebu (P126) and Lui (N13) parliamentary constituencies.
