★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Trust me you DON't wan't to be fooled by the exterior and pay your whole salary for just very ordinary tasting food. In fact, the fried chicken I ordered was actually quite burnt,the fish curry overly sour, the dhal was almost black. I don't think the cook or owners are really Indians. The service was oklaa but for a meal with banana leaf was just way too expensive. Complete BS. Never been to any banana leaf serving restaurant that posed such a rip off. The first time today and surely the last. NOT WORTH!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have never written a google review to a restaurant, but this time I was really irked by dining experience tonight.
It was just 8pm and I walked in the restaurant to "no one's notice".
So I just chose a seat myself.
At the point of time, there was only customer in another one table. So, out of around 15 tables, only 2 were occupied.
I sat for a good few minutes but no one felt I should have a look at their menu.
So I decided to approach the cash counter myself and asked the cashier whether it is meant for self service.
No, she asked me to sit down and wait for the menu.
I was a hungry man and so I took the menu myself and ordered their signature set rice.
The taste is average. But hey, the perk of having banana leaf rice in any outlet in Malaysia is able to refill it as much as you like.
Well, that's the basic of a banana leaf meal isn't it?
Wrong.
I asked for refill.
First of all, the service was SLOW.
The waiter was serving another table slowly and I waited for 10-15 minutes just for a refill.
When the food trolley came, I was informed out of the 3 side dishes, only the sad cucumber salad was left.
No more onion pakoda, no more cabbage mix.
And no effort was seen to replace it with any available item.
Come on.
It was still early of the night, and the restaurant is more than half empty.
I'm not sure if the other customer are getting their side dishes, but I'm sure any new customer would only have disappointment.
I was upset and just had to quickly finish the rest of the meal (rice and curry)
In Malay, it just tasted like nasi penjara (prison rice)
I told the staff, it is totally not worth the RM14 pricetag.
The staff apologised. That's all they could do.
At the end, the cashier was asking me whether they could charge me just the price of white rice.
I'm not a man who couldn't pay for a meal and I paid what was asked for.
The food is not cheap.
But the service/dining experience definitely is.
*This is the 2nd time I visited the restaurant. And the last time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Parking was easy because there's a space behind the building. Food portion was okay, can refill rice and the vege side (if you order banana leaf set). Chicken, sotong goreng, and the cauliflower were sooooo delicious (sorry, don't remember the menu name). Love it. Drinks hmmmm....should be improved. Ordered teh ais halia, but taste like normal teh ais. Staff service was okay, a little bit slow, but they seems to not have enough staff, and the current staff looked tired. I felt sorry for them. Overall, great. Definitely will come again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service need to be improved... Asked for warm water more than 7 times.... Each time they will say okay and go behind but won't come back.. I don't know what was their problem to bring warm water. At the end they charge RM 1 for the unserve warm water! Luckily I notice it.. Have to check the bill before pay. Food taste is so so only for the price and compare to real banana leaf food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was rather too oily and did not taste authentically Indian although much of the menu items were of Indian origin. There is not much vegetarian choice. The smell and taste of the food was below expectation. I would not recommend this place for vegetarians.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think the price is too expensive for one set at rm12.90 for white rice, 3 types of vege and papadom only and no drinks provided. I know it is refillable but the portion they serve at the start is already enough unless you’re very hungry. Add on set of chicken 65 at rm0.99 (opening promo), normal price is rm7.90 i think, not sure why portion smaller since dekat fb ads cakap its the same one. Ambience here is nice, open air seating. Service was fast, just waiting for the side dish will take some time. Staff semua was so nice and friendly. Makanan semua sedap, kuah campur and makan nasi daun pisang is all good but my only concern is the price does not really match with the item served, could add in drink to include with the set. Just my 2 cent, but still wouldn’t hurt to try for all the first timer looking to try banana leaf rice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was awesome, no comment.. Not gonna lie.. Go and have a try... it's just that the banana leaves were out of stock but it is okay, enjoyed everthing in front if you and life will be great... Recommended for families, the more the merrier...

I would say, the portion is enough for our medium size tummy ;)
Rice, 4types of gravy n papadam are refillable. All served on hot stamps bananabros banana leaf.
Also received fried chicken -boneless nice crunchy, serve hot
Mutton varuvval - min spicy and nice
Even many commenting about the price, I would say it is worth for the service, place, and concept s offered.
Possibility to repeat: 8/10
Cleanliness: 10/10
Staff: 10/10 friendly boy pakai spek
We do enjoy our food ☺️
