I requested for a plate of mee rebus and a plate of mee goreng. They served me the most expensive mee goreng/rebus on their menu. They added everything for me which I did not ask for. I thought when you order something, they will usually serve the standard portion instead of the everything also tambah version? Anyway, overrated and please be careful on your orders.

So disappointed, totally over rated! Noodles were soggy and simply fried. Taste wise was bland as well. NOT recommended. * BEWARE when ordering. If you just order 1 without saying more, the boss will charge you the most expensive dish on the menu. And will give a lot of b***s**t when you complain.

Not the same anymore and mainy due to arrogance and greed to hit number of plates. High on seasoning taste so dont over indulge. They fry big batches now then scoop into plate and add the sotong thereafter. Guy taking orders and payment does not use gloves when adding the salad leaves to the finished plate of noodles. Had the arrogance to tell me i cannot take pictures, hahaha really? I got a single plate fried as my friend didn't want taugeh which they tried 3 times to take the ready fried which is faster. I have been Mahmud's customer for over 30 years taking frozen packs to Hong Kong, Singapore and even Australia. Mahmud was no where in sight. Well seasons change so sadly after almost 2 years, I am disappointed. No passion in the frying no more.☹

?Bangkok Lane Mee Goreng Who doesn't know this Mee Goreng? Here's a legend that stands tall, a god amongst men. Claimed by many locals to be the best, it is undeniable that the skill displayed in preparing the fried noodles is impeccable. Their beginnings are quite a story.. Even since the Japanese Occupation has this family been going on with the hot wok of fried noodles. Zakariah, the founder of this trade, and the grandfather of the current chef, started this stall 80 years back. Now, Sabik Ahmad happens to be the 3rd generation to be continuing this trade. They don't only sell 'Mee Goreng'; they sell a story, a powerful history through their cooking. The legendary Mee Goreng will finally be relocated after 31 August 2021. Will it still retain its strength when it is relocated elsewhere than Bangkok Lane?

I have had their mee sotong with extra sotong (RM8) before. So this time I just wanted to try their mee goreng sotong (RM5) - The ones taking d order attitude like gangster when ordering, kept telling me take the full version then talked alot loudly when I said no. Ask me if want telur. Ask me if want sotong. Eventually the mee sotong RM5 has NO sotong. Mana sotong boss? Just mee, potatoes, tauhu and sauce. Alamak. Wet mee, bland taste, served in tiny small portion, 5 spoons only not just mine but all the customers' food portion were small not like last time. Too geram to even take photo of the food. Sorry lah, no more for me.

This famous mee goreng mamak, recently moved to New World Park because the old shop lot owner want to renovate the shop for 6 months. So the mamak boss moved to this new location. The mee goreng is still the best ever in Peneng. The spicy red chilli with the tofu and sotong is the best to eat it while it's still hot on the spot.

Same great awesome taste! Today Uncle was in and dished up my plate of Mee Goreng Sotong. I remember I used to visit in the afternoons for my fix after meetings.
