β β β β β Easily mistaken with wisma badan peguam building which is located near there. If u want to complaint lawyer or get a legal aid service, go directly to the wisma badan peguam not bar council. Bar council only for administration of lawyers and chambering student matter. Got library for lawyers on 4th floor.

β β β β β very much dissapointed with Bar Council on handling their dishonest lawyer. Inefficient, Very not proactive. (imagine every decision only be taken from board meeting which met once a month, regardless the volume of the cases). Not to mention also they only work while in office, no job can possibly done with the help of internet. As for my case, it took almost a year to get the statement from the dishonest lawyer (and guess what, still not yet complete). this particular institution as good as record keeper.

β β β β β Parking is very limited outside. Sheltered carpark not available. You have to find a carpark elsewhere and walk over for your biz there.

β β β β β A very important institution which needs to do way much more for the protection and promotion of human rights in Malaysia and ASEAN.Their Human Rights , Indigenous Peoples, Migrant/ Refugees Committees are very active and champion both policy and legal aid for the respective grassroots communities. Infrastructure wise, they host many important policy meetings and trainings for civil society and this has helped advance the human rights agenda in Malaysia. Hope to see more Bar Council lawyers take up Pro Bono cases for marginalised communities and uphold the ethics and prestige that comes with the job.

β β β β β As part of a legal services delegation from Hong Kong, I was here on November 8, 2017. The Director of the Special Projects & International Liaison and the Director of the Bar Council gave us an excellent briefing including the challenges that they were facing. I admired their commitment and professionalism in upholding the constitution and the rule of law in Malaysia!

β β β β β Super disappointed with bar council's handling of their dishonest lawyers. Complaint filed 10 years ago saw the irresponsible lawyer getting away unscathed... calling their arrogant staff to follow up on my complaint filed 1 year ago and was told the case is still in process... No wonder there are so many con lawyers running amok in this country

β β β β β Last time i was handle by a lady name : ying ying (if I'm not mistaken). Very professional and helpful so my problem resolved quickly and profesionaly.
Recently, I write in for another issue with my lawyer. but the PIC (you can find on bar council web site). Respond is slow, not professional at all (similar issue with last time how Ying Ying help). He ask me to email for ASDB, but ASDB is not the right channel. I email to him again to ask for more info and wish to speak to him to make my query clear so I can get a proper advise. No respond at all and no call, even I call till the phone drop also no one picking up.
Last time i was impress with bar council service attitude but after changing of PIC, I think bar council should look into this to avoid this. This will cause a drop of reputation and images to the public.

β β β β β From the reviews, this High Court is still opened.? When I visit there, most of gates are closed and full grilled up....looks creepy with some old buildings almost torn-down. But many homeless like hanging around here. Maybe, they like this Bar Council here or they feel this High Court owed them a lot? True, this Council building isn't for everyone to visit unless you 're guilty. Many locals including tourists don't have chance to visit inside.
