★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this place by chance. It seems to be a place frequent by lawyers (probably that’s why it is called “Barrister’s Brew”). Ambience is good for working as it is quiet and everyone who spent their time here just respects the space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very sick cos of post-dental surgery, and I couldn't eat anything solid, so I ordered their Creamy Tomato Soup and Potato & Leek Soup via GrabFood. Both soups are very nice: not too thick, not too thin. Seasoning is just right: not salty, not bland. But I think if I order again, I'd just order more Tomato Soup. Even the slice of bread was nice, but i had to remove the crust since I can only chew very soft food. The price might be high for some people (RM15.50 per soup) but I think it's worth it, especially if you can't eat solid food, and you're tired of eating congee and drinking smoothies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Randomly found this cafe. The name does match up with the coffee. Good coffee, reasonably priced for the area and have I mentioned the awesome coffee? Definitely a hidden gem for the area!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In the search of places to work around Hartamas area, this place caught my attention as they are a cafe in a communal law library. What a find! Their Americano (although taste-wise, would be on the more sour end) was at a pretty affordable rate of 5rm. Enjoyed my day working here as it felt conducive, the tables were big enough, music was pretty chilled, quiet and comfortable environment. People around were mostly either reading, looking for books, working away on their laptops, sipping their drink. Prices of food were of the standard for cafes, chicken parmagiana at 25rm was around the average price. Apart from option of sides at less than 10rm, the cheapest main would be 17rm for a salad. Only time it was busy (though not a full house yet) was lunch time.
Overall, a place I'll drop by for a cuppa of affordable americano and to work.
