★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mr Jarlath is a very good principle , however , the JUNIOR PRINCIPLE , Miss Alina Manda , is the worst principle in the school . She is changing the school from bad to WORST . I can guaranty Newlands will close down if Miss Alina is still working here . I hope Mr Jarlath will take control of the whole school . The most suitable teacher for taking over Miss ALINA MANDA's place is Miss Mariam(Miss Ava) . She's a well dedicated and well - mannered teacher . Hope that Miss Alina will leave the school soon .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hope his review goes as a warning to those who wish to enroll their children here. It is a huge waste of money with a fake set up. They hire white teachers for show to convince parents there's expat teacher. In reality they only have 4-5 expat teacher for the entire school. ( from Year 1 to year 11 ). 2 of them teach PE only.
The rest are locals, who do not seem certified (or educated enough) to teach British syllabus. Teachers are incompetent.
Teacher absentee rate very high. The replacement teacher to the class will be the school admin girl.
The school system is disorganised. Planned school concert supposedly on 1st of Nov, annoucement/ acknowledgement changes of date (via Class Dojo) 2 days before 1st of Nov.
School sports day supposedly start at 8.15am delay to 10am giving stupid reason Traffic Jam.
Security level of the school is totally ?. Students can go in and out . Even pre school children can go in and out the school gate.
I can say, don't waste your time and money sending your child to this school.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Receptionist is rude to most of the parents with over the top sarcasm and talk as if she's on top of everyone else and thinks everyone is dumb. And if you were a student asking the staff to do something they will redirect or tell u where to get it yourself in the back room where students shouldn't be and they'll make a fuss about it. Overall management sucks. As for teachers...well they love to play mobile games and smoke in class.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a student from Beaconhouse Newlands and i find that it's a horrible school to enroll. Firstly the receptionist is being very disrespectful to parents and students when she is in good mood she will talk to you nicely but when she is not then she will speak to you in a very rude way. Secondly the school's system is horrible as in everything was planned last minute for example, the story telling 2019 the teacher inform us about this competition just a few days earlier and expect us to get prepared in a very short period of time. Most of us failed to do it therefore, on the competition day morning the teacher asked us to immediately write a story and they will choose who is able to participate in the competition on that day afternoon. Thirdly many of the good teachers are starting to leave the school and many students left the school also their new intake is having lesser and lesser students.
Besides I agree on Dexter as in he said the teacher over there smoke in class because, one of the classrooms always have the smell of the vape which is disgusting and yes the some teachers play mobile games in class. This are the reasons why Beaconhouse Newlands aren't a good school to enroll in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been schooling at Beaconhouse Newlands for 5 years now. I truly enjoy learning here. The staff are very kind, the receptionist are also very kind. They aren't rude at all. Our new Head of Primary, Mr Colin is a very wise person. So is our principal Mr Jarlath. I think in the future Mr Colin and Mr Jarlath with make the school a better place.
I recommend Beaconhouse Newlands to you and your child as a student myself.

Get all the teachers fired please! horrible experience and the receptionist used to be very very rude. Horrible school. DO NOT ENROLL YOUR KIDS HERE

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After 3years of schools searching I've finally found the perfect school for my girl. Almost 2 months since joining, she's expanded her knowledge tremendously, matured and so much more responsible and understanding. Unlike before, She's excited to go to school everyday. Principal Darren, Head of Primary and Teachers especially Ms. Tiara, I have nothing but 100% praises and trust to place my girl in this fantastic school. Their program and curriculum, I've never expected it to be so GOOD. The daily 2 meals provided and I'm assured my girls eats well at school. FANTASTIC & EXCELLENT SCHOOL.
