★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware of what the pharmacists recommend to you. They recommended me to take iron pills one per day continuously for a full month, which caused me overdosage of iron. Caused me seriously nauseous and had black stool diarrhoea during midnight for two days in a row.
Luckily i went to see my very experienced family doctor in time, and my doctor warned me to stop the iron pill immediately. He said my internal organ is now infected and need to be take anti biotics for treatment. Doctor says iron pills should be prescribed to patients only with proper diagnosis and each course should be a maximum of 10 days and keep under observation. If i had taken the iron pills for even longer, it would get worse.. would possibly get iron poisoning which could kill a person.
I went back to the pharmacy today to tell them what my doctor told me. Though they still argue it is alright to take iron pills for a straight 30days, i am sure anyone in straight mind will know whether we should trust the pharmacists or my very experienced doctor. I Just hope that they will not continue to wrongly recommend to their customers to take iron pills which might cause over dosage. Hope won't have more victims like me
