Had a hearty lunch at a cosy restaurant here. Despite not ordering the signature dish at the shop, the meat dishes like the marmite chicken was delightful as well. It goes perfectly well with a double-boiled black bean soup of the day. Do drop by and try it for yourself.

This is a gem hidden at a back lane of Taman Connaught residential area. A restaurant cum shack covered by big tree that is famous for its steamed fish head and other side dishes. I like their fish head steamed with chopped ginger and scallion. This place is very busy during lunch. Suggest to go early or after lunch crowd.

It was a bit difficult to find this place. Google Maps doesn't lead you directly to this place. Once you reach the "destination" shown by Google, you'll need to head to the back lane behind the residential homes. Keep an eye out for the restaurant's bright yellow signboard. In terms of the food, the "cheong cheng" (with fermented bean) steam fish was mouthwateringly delicious. So was the signature tofu with minced meat. However, the coconut soup (the restaurant's signature dish) had a strange aftertaste that I did not fancy, although the chicken in the soup was extremely tender. My aunt absolutely loved the coconut soup and highly recommended it to us. Give it a try yourself to see what you think. The drinks were interesting and refreshing. The purple drink is some herbal barley drink while the yellow one is pumpkin barley.

This place is hard to find if you don't use Waze or Google maps because it is located behind a row of residential houses. The food is reasonably good but unfortunately one of the steamed fish we ordered wasn't well cooked. It was tough and tasteless. Perhaps the chef forgot to add salt or light sauce. The place is quite airy and you must be prepared for a long wait on weekends. Parking is a nightmare.

Hidden gem of a restaurant. Literally located under a big tree. Famous for their steamed “wan yee” fish. We ordered two portions served in different sauce, both were tasty. Fish were steamed just right. Open only for lunch. Huge crowd quite normal. Parking can be a little difficult, just walk a bit and that’s no issue. Bring umbrella if rain forecasted so you can get back to your car. Very friendly owners and good quick service. Highly recommended place to eat. Clean toilet available in adjacent house.

Cravings for steam fish? must give it a try at this shop. Simply can't resist the Cheong Cheng fish, special made to-fu with pork mince, and the fried sweet potato leaf. price is reasonable, service is quick, boss is friendly, open space dining, what else more could you ask for? ?

We were there at 1150am on a public holiday, and it was already full. Waited 15 minutes for a table. After that, the order process was smooth and efficient. Food was very good, although there was not many choices in the menu. The steam fish head is very nice and fresh. Price is very reasonable. And therefore the crowd. Parking is available along the streets near the restaurant, as long as one uses common sense and not block the roads. So be prepared to walk. This is a non-halal restaurant.
