I called up Bluewater Express in advance to book my tickets from Mersing Ferry Terminal to Tioman. Upon arrival, I went straight to the Bluewater Express Conter at Mersing Ferry Terminal. It was extremely crowded, messy, noisy and disorganised at the ticket counters. It was really uncomfortable as I was afraid that people would cut queue. I didn’t tell the operators at the counter that I had reserved two ferry tickets in advance and just bought the tickets on the spot @ RM 70 because talking to the ticket seller and hearing her clearly over at the counter was too difficult due to the noise from the crowd. I felt impatient and wished to get out of the place quickly. I was not even sure at this point whether reserving tickets over the phone was something they would honour looking at the rowdy passengers.

One of the worst travel experience ever. The boat for our outbound trip was 2 hours late and on our way home 1 hour. No information what so ever and when the boat arrives you can expect a boat that is in very bad shape. The crew is mostly kids about 18 years old and I really wonder how the safety is.

Appalling, terrible, horrific, awful. I could continue. Simply the worst ferry I've ever been on. I wouldn't do it again if you paid me, I'd rather swim. We actually paid again and used the catamaran company to come back as we couldn't face the ferry trip again. The catamaran is great and will hopefully put this lot out of business quickly. Please dont use them for your own sake.

Worst service ever for ferry, 1st, they dont have any counter in Tioman, 2nd, We ask and show our ticket, they demand us to print it out. 3rd, After we use 5min to go over to Aman print it out, they didnt wait for us and left the port. no clear instructions, and bad services from the crew. very very bad review. no point using online to buy ticket if you cant use the ticket online. pure stupidity and wastage of paper, whereas ppl are paperless, cant understand why the online ticket comes with QR code to scan but they refuse to accept and force us to print. What is the difference? and why cant u wait for another 5 mins since its not that we didnt print, its just that we didnt know. WORST experience in my entire life. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

Need to go to different building (not at jetty) to Buy ticket to tioman island. Rm35.00 per person for 1 direction. Return is another rm35.00. After buy ticket my register travelling persons detail at another counter. For safety. After that need to conservation fee to marine park of Malaysia. Rm5 per person, Malaysian. Foreigners have to pay rm30.00. 30 minutes before ferry departure, must go to jetty to collect boarding pass from counter by showing the ticket. It takes about 2 hours to reach tioman island from mersing jetty. Ferry is air conditioned, big and safe. Toilet is also provided in the ferry.
