I thought it was ok. Crabs were small but fresh. Prawns big fresh. The boneless fish was average. The presentation looked better then it tastes. You eat in someone's house service is fair. Our bill was 260 for crab, prawn, fish, veg. There are better places close by

After 20 years never been there as the old restoran is actually located just opposite the current one's. Foods taste is still the same.... a great place to have seafood as all they served is their signature foods...

Quite disappointed with the crabs. At RM90 a kilo one would expect reasonable quality. Ours were not fresh, meat were not fully packed but around 70% only, 30% hollow. Will never come back or recommend friends.

Although it is a small place. But the food is superb! Interesting food. Man tao (steam bread) with sweet and sour crab is one of the best! Overall, pricing is reasonable with a good portion of serving. Highly recommended! One thing to take note of, there are a lot of dogs by the street just keep calm and walk.

Boon Tat's signature dish is their deep fried boneless fish - the fish's flesh and bones are replaced by homemade fish paste, and they somehow manage to retain the skin and overall shape of the fish. Other dishes worth trying are their chili crabs, clams in superior stock and dry curry chicken. While you're there, do order a plate of pineapple for dessert - theirs are somehow sweeter than the usual pineapples you find out there.

Have been eating here for many years and it is still my go-to steamed crab spot - unlike other steamed crab places, this one is dry-steamed with very succulent, sweet crab meat. The dry chili for the prawn is also very fragrant and unique. Recommend order the teochew-style fish soup beehoon for some carbs. This is also the only place I've seen which serves the stuffed whole fish - best to call to rsvp!
