I have been here for so many times as it is located near my house.. A nice place.. It took me less than 30 min to reach the peak where the Msian flag is located.. But, if the hikers wish to proceed to the next level and experience, it will take another 30-40 min or so...

(Oct 2020 - please follow regulations whenever applicable) A beginner friendly hiking trails. No permits or written permissions are required before attempting the hike(subjected to change by authorities). No toilets or changing room available on the spot, limited parking space and there is a stall smelling replenishment at the start of the trail. The trail took around 2 hours to complete normally, there are some parts or junctions where you can took a different route. Try to go early as it might gets hot at the afternoon as there's some part that are not covered by anything.

Easy hiking. Suitable for family. Good for a quick sweating, early morning. Unfortunately, it seems that this green bush won't last long, as some part of it (especially around Bukit Botak area) have been cleared of, by the greedy capitalists. So, go and enjoy, while it still exist.

Saddened by the greed of the govt and developers and cronies who get the land to exploit. When you look into the horizon, it is all oil palm plantations as well as cleared Land.. What is left for the future generations of Malaysians who will see the forests The octopus ? tree has almost been destroyed and the path to Bukit Botak blocked. You can see the further degradation of Bukit botak. why are we so passive about destruction of the forests ?

The famous Octopus Tree has been destroyed by the developers, left an ugly scenes on the hilltops. The developer has been blocked the road to bukit botak by fallen trees, to avoid any hikers to cross over.

Scenic hiking trail if you live around shah alam area. Moderately tough but really enjoyable. Took us less than 2.5 hrs from starting point -> rock garden -> bukit cerakah -> bukit botak -> new zealand trail -> starting point. Simply can clock in 10k steps with a total distance about 5.5 km
