The term "pâtisserie" refers to both French pastries and the pastry shop where they are sold. French and Belgian bakeries are only allowed to use the term "pâtissier" (master pastry chef) if they employ a licensed maître pâtissier (master pastry chef). An Italian, French, or Belgian bakery specializing in pastries and sweets is referred to as a pâtisserie, the term used to describe the items they sell. A pâtisserie sells cakes and other sweet treats. It is only a three-hour and thirty-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur to a little Pâtisserie shop in Cherating, Pahang, called Cafe Marion. They offer a wide range of desserts, from classic lemon meringue and creme brulee tarts to croque monsieurs. In addition to the Kaya Cheesecake, they have added jars of salted butter caramel, which can be eaten on toast or other ways. #pastry #cafemarion # creambrulee #tart Cafe Marion 011, Jalan Kampung Cherating Lama, Kampung Cherating, 26080 Balok, Pahang

Saw on Facebook last year about this place. I used Waze to direct me to this place. Parking is a problem here. I parked on a side walk. It was cloudy day, so it made me ‘q’ up to 20 minute just to get to buy their tarts. Was there about 2pm, left only 5 type of dessert. Price a bit costly. Place 4/5 Food 4/5 Drink 4/5 Price 2/5

The best pastries. Must try when you at Cherating. Simple cafe but the pastries so so good. It reminds me of France once visited last 2 years. Well better be early as they start selling at 1.00pm and sold out by 3.00pm

The Lemon Meringue Tart and Walnut Tart were absolutely delicious. Nothing was overly sweet, the lemon tart has got to be my absolute favourite and the coffee was alright to wash it all down. Queues were crazy long and I pity those who had to be in line under the scorching hot sun. Do bring your own umbrella if you plan to queue for their desserts. The RELA officer is a huge help, but it would really help if the customer service could speed up the process somehow.

My wife loves it. People from across the country (from the different dialect i overheard) came here. Opens at 1pm, most of the pastries are gone by 2pm. Advisable to come at 11.30am to queue.

This place is so quaint, and it fits perfectly within the quaint little village of Cherating Lama, with their narrow little roads, neat little pavements and the vicinity to the sandy white beach and blue waters. Island life on the mainland. Next door is a tie die shop, like how much more island-ish can this place be? We came a bit later in the afternoon so there were only a few selection left. My fave would be the salted caramel and cream in butter shell, the choc and caramel was a favorite with the kid. We lingered for a while because it was a quiet, sunny yet breezy day. I hope they can upgrade to proper coffee because the pod coffee doesn't pair well with the good quality tarts imho. 5 star still for excellent dessert, and managing to survive the viral crowd.

Tasted just nice. Unable to taste their walnut and fruit cheesecake due out of stock. Hopefully can come again soon. Few tips for queue, avoid coming during peak hours especially between 12-2pm, we came in just after 2pm and no queue at all but ready for the stocks to finish up asap. Recommended ??
