Usually packed during lunch. Started business in 1956, look around, you'll see some nostalgic stuff. Food was good, ordered kuey tiau goreng, rojak, nasi padang there.

Food not to my liking; Mee rebus - mee too soft. Added sotong but still couldn't compensate for curry powder laden gravy. Mee rojak fare better though I had better ones elsewhere. Drinks relatively decent. There's a Nasi Padang stall but not open. Not sure whether still operating as the stall looks packed-for-good vibe. Nostalgic ambience and truly muhibah environment having 3 major races of Malysia working harmoniously with equally diverse base of patrons. Overall verdict - if you feel nostalgic, come for the old school environment. Don't expect too much for the food.

Tried this coffee shop today. Between us we tried the mee rebus, toast, mee/beehun hailam and coffee. As a northerner from Penang, this definitely cannot qualify as mee rebus. Someone had posted earlier that the mee rebus was cooked with curry powder. Indeed it did taste a bit like the kuah was cooked with meat curry powder. The kuah lacked many things including some sweetness and the dash of sotong sambal that the mee rebus is topped up with. Will not go back for this. I did not get to try the nasi padang as it was closed, so, will need to go back to try this one as the reviews have said that it is nice. The toast and coffee were good. The mee/beehun hailam was alright but did not look like the kind I am used to. It tasted more like the hokkien char. The ambience is nice. It's a lovely old shop house and the staff very courteous. Can give it a try for the toast and coffee and I quite think their half boiled eggs would have been done just right too.

Passed by many times, today got chance to try. Very nostalgic! The paint, furniture (what’s left of it), the people, the food! Ordered nasi Padang & rojak. All good. Probably because I like old taste, cooked with love by popo and gong2. Drinks also not bad but I’ve had better. The toast is to die for, reminiscence of my childhood. The food is Malay, Chinese and Indian. So is the crowd! What surprises me the most is that people from all walks of life eats here. Majority of them are Malays. Malay ordered food prepared by Chinese and vice-versa. Muhibbah to the max! If only the rest of KL is like this cafe. ? Will return to try other food. Parking was an extortion. RM10! Probably because it’s a public holiday. Best to park in SOGO and walk.

The only food that is good is the toast and coffee. Mee Hailam was loaded with boric acid and Mee Rebus was just curry powder gravy.

The nasi padang was the bomb! It was soooo delicious & amazing ? ?. However, other than the nasi padang everything else was not good. The mee goreng still taste "kapur" & with the price, it was not worth it at all. But, the ambiance was nice. Will come again for nasi padang. Definitely!

We love the vibes and the ambiance. It get really packed and crowded during lunch but it will be no problem for you if you gonna take away the food. The seating arrangement it quite limited. They offered rojak, mee rebus, nasi Padang, fried beehoon and Chinese fried rice. The service is superb and really fast. The foods are delicious too! Highly recommended!
