★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Char Koay Teow I’ve had in Penang, in fact anywhere else ever. The Charcoal makes a huge difference. The old man cooks one plate at a time, you have to bear with the smoke coming from his fire as well as the satay grill stall beside for at least 30mins. But well worth the wait. Stall name is literally called “Charcoal Seafood Char Koay Teow” with the menu options right beneath the name. And they only sell one dish, which is that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was tasty. Was not to loose your mind over it but good. We waited a good half an hour for our food. The experience was good I guess. There are two woks at the same time now. The uncle and a younger helper! If you have the time give it a go!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fried koey teow which is very famous for its long queues…After a long queue, it paid off with its delicious koey teow. The price is also not too expensive, only 10 RM for a small portion and a large portion of 12 RM.

Waited around 30 mins on a weekday evening, was worth the wait. This is taste I was hoping for in Penang. This is definitely the best CKT around. Good wok Hei and excellent smoky taste. Will definitely be back here if I ever come back to penang. Was a bit pricey at Rm14 with siham, but considering the taste and skill of the old uncle and still using charcoal to fry the CKT, no complaints.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 13+ years ago I ate this CKT fried by the same old uncle. I cannot forget how good the wok hei and taste it has and this trip I ate twice during my 3 nights here. Go for the duck egg ones u won’t b wrong. To avoid Q, better to come before 7pm. The first night I came on late 9Pm and I Q for 30mins to order.
