★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The shop is well-stocked, well-stacked, well-organised and well-managed. I am a farmer, I patronise 3 agro-inputs shops within 30 km radius from my hometown. This shop is more than 50 km from my home and it beats all the others.
This shop like any agro-inputs shop in Malaysia lacks the most important trait in business, it lacks a salesperson with good product knowledge. As a business person I believe business cannot thrive by being reactive, it must be proactive. The only way to be proactive is to know your customers' profiles. The soil profiles, the diseases face by the crops, etc.
I believe this shop has potentials because it is the only shop I know which is not 'N-P-K CENTRIC'. All agro-inputs shops in Malaysia are 'N-P-K CENTRIC'. For agriculture to excel and thrive farmers must be trained for upskilling and retooling. Specific problem-solving fertilizers should be a way of retooling and agro-inputs shops can act as an agent of upskilling farmers.
Agro-inputs shops should go to farmers with 'win-win approach'.
