 The bean paste cake is unpalatable enough. I have eaten so many different honest bean paste cakes in China. This one is the most unpalatable. The filling and the cake crust are spit out after one bite.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am local and been a loyal customer for decades.This place has really fallen from grace. First their famed bean cake shrunk in size. This year they have decided to remove most of the filling so only a thin layer is left inside. What a disgrace from the next generation that has taken over. Guess only foolish tourist are frequenting the place now.
There is a smaller shop nearby selling bean cakes and other old school pastries, better get good quality stuff from there. Plenty of other options in Batu Pahat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always have some stock of 鹹豆沙餅 from Kian Lai Seng at home. 水晶餅 is also yummy. There are many other choices in the small shop. Worth to stop by and take a look. Reasonable price too.
