I wanted to do an international wire transfer but they insisted that I open an account with them. Opening an account takes at least 1 hour, plus another hour of waiting time. There is only one officer processing all the new accounts and it takes forever. I came in at 10 am and could only finish everything by 12:30 ???

Declare open until 4.30pm. Call to ask operation hours, nobody pick up the phone. When arrive only mentioned operation hours until 3.00pm, after I call infront of the Bank. Not even mention in front at the door. Terrible service.

Worst cimb ever. The staffs are inefficient and rude. Not even a productive service. Thy won't tell me everything at one go. I stand in line for an hour just to scan a qr code. The non malay guard in the branch is very friendly and understanding.

WORST EVER EXPERIENCE Before I proceed, my humblest apologies first because this is going to be a long complaint review of CIMB Taman Melawati Branch. On 26th of August 2021, I had went to this CIMB Taman Melawati at 9.30am to open a savings account. Initially I waited for 40mins outside the bank before I entered. However, upon entering, I was told by the staff that I needed my utility bill and staff ID card for verification (what sort of banks required verification details? Other banks just requires your IC) . Nevermind, so I had to purposely drive back home, pick up those documents and come back to the bank. By the time I got back to the bank at 10.40am, I was told to wait. The lady staff that handle accounts opening told me that there was only two person before me, and it should be fast. So I wait further until 12pm, yet I WAS STILL NOT SERVED. This lady staff, took 40mins LONG to handle PER CUSTOMER. Why did she take so long you may ask? It's because she takes her own sweet time talking rubbish and grandfather stories with the customers. I knew of this because I was literally behind them observing them the whole time. Moreover, the WHOLE TIME the other colleagues and staff beside her were FREE talking, chit chatting and all that, yet NOBODY came and served me while I was waiting. After approaching another one of the staff, she told me to wait further. I waited up until 12pm until I could not wait any longer, I went to the lady staff, complaint to her, took my documents and left. Can you imagine waiting for 2.30hrs just to open an account? But ended up getting nothing? The staff in CIMB Taman Melawai are inefficient, lazy and unremorseful. Anyone of you thinking of coming to this branch STAY AWAY for your own good. I'll never patronize CIMB bank ever.

The banking environment is so friendly and loving. The customer service officers and branch staff are very welcoming and giving good customer experience. Definitely good branch. And ample of parking places with nearest Melawati Mall .
