At this point I think I have to write this... It's not anywhere close to over 4/5 rating... The Claypot Rice is palatable but really a far cry from a good one... Rice is mushy & wet whereas flavours are rather flat, with a main saltiness coming from the soy Sauce. The Lap Cheong is salty more than sweet, & added into this mainly salty rice it tips the balance way off... Chicken pieces were good though, well marinated, juicy & tender. Chicken is the most well balanced item in this dish... Water Cress soup is a tad oily, not too robust & the vege itself is not cooked long enough to achieve the flavour and texture intensity.

Ordered small portion of claypot chicken rice that costs RM 10. Take away because of MCO (cannot dine in). The aunty put it in the brown hawker paper and gave a separated chili padi as well. Generous amount of chicken (thigh part and not boneless), the rice is all brown which I thought it will be too salty. But turns out so good, served with lap cheong and salted fish. Super Yum! I am sure it will be more delicious when I eat it on the spot.

Very good claypot rice. Ask for extra "lap cheong". Expect to share tables when it's full & the chicken soup looks good.

Stumble upon this stall when we stroll around KL sentral and decide to try it. There's no regret! It has a great flavor, not to salty even though it's so brown. Comes with sliced chili if you want spicy flavors and salted fish if you like it. Price only 8.5 RM for small size, and the uncle speaks english well so ordering its not difficult. There's also a great char kuey teow place across the street from this claypot place, just beside the 7-11 that you should try.

So far this is the best Claypot Chicken Rice that we ever had. Tried Pudu market, tried PJ Old Town before and this Brickfields is the best so far. Consistency and they have a tiny plate of salted fish. Worth every penny. They opened every evening but they are closed for Tuesday and Wednesday.
