β β β β β It is one of the stall in a food court in Taman Tapah. Serving authentic Malay dishes like nasi lemak, nasi impit and kuah lodeh etc from early morning.
The unique dish is gulai kawah umbut pisang (beef curry with banana trunk inner core) . I like the taste although the umbut sometimes was overcooked.
Price wise, has gone up significantly as compared to my early visits in 2010. Banana on Fridays is free.

β β β β β What more can we say about a restaurant serving varieties of lauk pauk (side dishes) Perak Malay-style, to accompany a plate of steaming hot rice for lunch@brunch, except that it is tasty and good.
The main attractions for this particular establishment however are the grilled fish smothered with delicious red hot marinade plus a wonderful cicah air asam (spicy tamarind sauce) to dip the pieces of fish into, and the rare local delicacy of gulai kawah daging tetel umbut pisang (beef with young tender banana shoot@inner stem in coconut gravy).
Apart from that, they served varieties of other dishes that can commonly be found in any nasi campur (mixed rice) place.
They also served assorted drinks to quench the thirst but one of the most delicious is their teh-o ais limau (iced lime tea) which taste uniquely like sour plum drink.
Highly recommended for those travelling to or through Tapah but the place is a bit crowded during lunch hour and the grilled fish and beef gravy is usually finished by 2pm.

β β β β β Hey, it was an unfortunate event that we found this restaurant. We searching for place for lunch and found this restaurant. The place was packed with people. The worker keep assisting us find place to sit down and told us nicely and suggested lauk pauk there. Even there was a lot of people, but everything is just manageable and proper. Glad we found this restaurant and looking foward to go there again. Thank you D'Ruby Restaurant
