★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was ok, but the prices are way too high for the quality of food served. The standard fare of yumcha/dim sum is what is expected and there is even a few new items like fried durian that is new to try. Overall it's to expensive to recommend, where you can get the same or better and cheaper elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here is good and affordable. The XO carrot cake (RM11.80) is definitely one of their best dishes. The carrot cake is crispy and tasty. I like how there are several options for their xiao long baos. I had the one with scallops (RM7.80) and the broth inside was sweet. The yam puffs (RM6) are also good, with a yam casing with minced meat inside. I would not recommend the congee here as it was too starchy.
Upon arriving, do approach a staff member to get a number. Service here is generally fast and food comes out pretty quickly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good food at reasonable prices. Food gets served pretty fast and the service staff are attentive too. Expect to wait quite a while during meal hours especially on weekends.
I would recommend going for the fried xo carrot cake, lotus leaf rice, 炸俩 and steamed dim sum items. Tried the dumplings, wonton noodles and porridge also and found them to be more average
The xo chilli is very shiok and I would recommend u buy a bottle home if u love such chilli cos it only cost rm$13

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not the first time visiting, food is good and the price is reasonable. But the standard seems to have dropped a little. The prawn cheong fen (rice noodle roll) came with too little sauce, it was all soaked up before I finish the dish. Other dim sum like har gao and siew mai still taste alright. I have always liked all their congee and they taste delicious, comparable to some of the best porridge I have ever eaten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After 2 long years, finally back to D'Shanghai for lunch. It is still very packwith SGP tourist. This restaurant's dim sum is very nice. The chicken feet, pork ribs & Shanghai noodles are the best. The xiao long nao skin is still very thick. While the chee cheong fun texture is a bit thick too. The desert is not as good as those SGP version or one of those HK desert restauramt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was great to see D shanghai back in operation in KSL. The standard of its dimsum has pretty much remained the same as precovid.
One of the must buy is its shrimp chilli. No regrets.
The red wine 小笼包 is a must order.
Do not miss the shanghai fried noodles if you love chewy cards with wok hei.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food quality is good and the price is reasonable. Usually there wil be some items that will appeal to any family members. The service depends. Seems like the more older team gives better service than the young ones. Today they just opened for the third day so some of the nice stuff are not in stock. Most of the stuff are really good so it’s one of the go to place in JB. Can be crowded during meal times.
