A century old temple. It was struck by a flash flood and submerged the whole cave temple in 1974. Re-excavated in 2006. In progress of rebuilding.

Ive been to temples across China, Japan, SKorea, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Taiwan, and this can be listed on my top favorites. It's not commercialized, not too known, so gorgeous and serene, and has two friendly cute dogs

Chanced upon this temple after our visit to the Guan Yin temple next door. Was intrigued by the row of statues and the giant sign that said "buried for 32 years" (in Mandarin) - and learnt that the temple was submerged after a mudslide in 1974! The other memorable part about this temple was this really lavish headstone dedicated to a pet dog...

Amazing view of mountains rocks, and sculptures. A beautiful combination of nature and human work. Would have events during the festivals.

I think its a really beautiful temple inside a cave. Worth the visit. The statues r all very nice and my fav is the big statues with mountains as back ground.

Located down a small road that turns into a dirt road with lots of stray dogs, this temple is quiet and atmospheric. Note that most of the buildings here are very new

I like how quite and serene this temple is. It is not a usual tourist hotspot and that’s why it’s worth a visit due ti less pollution. The history behind is interesting. Love the quietness and calm.

Be extremely careful visiting here! Try to drive right into the temple grounds if possible and avoid walking from the car park outside. Just before the temple grounds, there is a house on the right home to a large amount of stray dogs. They will become extremely hostile when you walk past and also enter temple grounds, and chased leading me to climb onto building materials to avoid being attacked and bitten. Once inside, the temple is nice and also unique being located inside a cave.
