This guest house is one of the best you can find in Kelantan. Every time I visit Kelantan, I always check in there and have sleeps over for few nights. Occasionally, I stay there up to one week or two weeks. The rates of the rooms are very affordable, around RM90-RM120, inclusive of free WiFi access. The rooms are very clean, spacious and comfortable. When you step in to the guest house, you would find the lounge area very tranquil, with walls decorated by delicate carved wood panels and some panels with exquisite braid works. The best thing is the guest house is exactly at the river bank and it's partially on top of the river. So, you can enjoy the breeze blowing from the river, right from the lounge area or even from you room. Each room has a balcony area facing the river where you can catch the sight of the pristine river and enjoy the fresh air. You would truly get the feel of living home-stay at 'kampong' (Malaysian countryside) when staying over there. The experience of 'kampong' home-stay here genuinely defines the big part of identity of Malaysia. Although the place is not that big, but it's simplicity and tranquility makes you feel of desiring to come over again next time. The food here is really nice. You can find good breakfast by going to the local eateries in the morning where you can have typical Kelantanese 'nasi dagang' (special rice steamed with coconut milk) or 'nasi berlauk', which come together with locally cooked fish curry or chicken curry (not that of Indian style curry). The morning market nearby is a also a good place to look for variety of food like 'kuih muih', laksam and many others. For dinner, there are many local restaurants nearby that offer local or Thai style-cooked seafood. Not far apart from here, you can go to the beaches and have fun with your friends or family members. Therefore, this place should be one of the must visits when you come over to Kelantan!
