โ โ โ โ โ We were actually planning to go to another eatery nearby. However we failed to check if they were open and ended up here.
I have to say that this place is really very very cosy. I like the atmosphere here. The music is just great too. That's to my liking. If you want to do have some personal time here that's just great. I came with my wife and 2 kids. A treat from my wife.
The ordering is using querty code. But be advised not to scan the code first before your have gone through the menu provided. You will only have 15 to complete your order once scanned. I did ask the owner and it's actually to encourage the customers to get used to such ordering method. By the way they are able to serve you to if needed.
We ordered some sandwiches, spaghetti, chicken popcorn, courissant with ice cream, chocolate drink and lemon drink.
I would say the food is nice and savory. We enjoyed it very much. My kids were ecstatic especially my 6 year old boy. I think he enjoyed the most here.
Price wise I will say it's on average. Some expensive items and some cheaper items. But it's not your corner mamak stall pricing most definitely. Well that's what your are paying for....including the environment and setup.
Have a treat for yourself here. I encourage it.
Will most definitely come again.

โ โ โ โ โ I went there for tea time last sunday (23/1/2022). Ordered Granny Smith juice and chicken gyoza. The juice was so good but i don't really enjoyed the chicken gyoza. The place was cozy and quite. Very nice to hang out with your friends and family.

โ โ โ โ โ We googled this place and checked if it was open and google showed us that it was. We went to the cafe and the sign outside the door said it was open. Walked in at 11am, got our own menus as waiters were all behind the counter. One Malay waiter came out to seat us and then proceeded to tell us that they were actually closed and that food would take a long time. I asked how long it would take to for food and he said they would open in another 20 minutes after they sorted out their deliveries. He was not able to be specific about when they would be ready to serve. We decided that as it was going to take a while for them to sort their deliveries out, food we guessed would be longer than that so we said we would find somewhere else. The Malay guy came out to say sorry and i waived and started walking off, but he started being aggressive and saying he was talking to me and I was walking away...i had to go back to say that he was rude and that's why I was leaving. Please train your staff better and amend your opening times. Bad experience at De Cafe & Rest House.

โ โ โ โ โ Stayed for one night for business visit. Shared bathroom and your personal space is just the bed. You can pull the curtain for privacy. Make sure to bring your own toiletries & towels.
The Cafe downstairs has good coffee and ambience. Probably parking is the only issue. You can order using food delivery app.

โ โ โ โ โ Awesome hostel with everything you need for a good stay. The bed was very comfortable and the pillow was just amazing, it even felt like hotel grade pillows too. Carbonara pasta was also very delicious. Owner takes very meticulous care for the comfort of the guest, highly recommended.

If you're up to a low-budget yet great quality guest house, then this is the right place for you! It's near all the attractions in Ipoh. And pretty near to all famous hawkers and street arts.

โ โ โ โ โ Stayed at their dorm for 2 night. It was clean, spacious & complete with all the basic needs incl a large locker that can fit your luggage. Location wise it is strategically located Market Lane just next to the Concubine lane. Love the price which is only RM39/pax. Perfect for solo traveller.
Their foods & drinks are great too! You should give them a try.
