★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly the doctor with the worst bedside manners i have ever visited for consultation. Feel free to prove me wrong. A word of advice to the doctor...if you had a bad day or are tired of working, do us patients a favour...close your clinic. We come to find a solution from you, not to be brow-beaten and spoken down to. If you cannot be professional, you should re-examine why you are still practising. Had an utterly horrid experience on 18 Aug 2020!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately, I don't recommend Dr. Tan. My second visit was unpleasant enough that I chose to not go back and found the right Doctor for me. I am assuming her tactic is tough reviews. I can take tough reviews, however her criticism went from being a tough review to being quite cruel. Furthermore, the wait time of 1.5 hours, topped with an appointment that ended with me having more questions than answers was very unsettling. What worried me the most was when I requested to get my Whooping cough vaccination (Pertussis) for my pregnancy, her response was, "You don't need it". This is something that is vital during the last trimester of pregnancy, so that was the final straw for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’m not surprised to read bad review here. If u want to find a Dr who will sayang n pampering u, please don’t waste Dr Tan’s time.
Dr Tan is a very straightforward n professional doctor. She won’t give unnecessary treatment or checking for her patients. She is very experienced OB-GYN who support normal (virginal) birth n breastfeeding.
Nowadays a lot of Drs will easily give epidural n C-section in labour room, but Dr Tan is still practicing in “old school” way. She will spend 8-10 hours with patient in labour room, monitoring patient closely with her team and never pressure her patient to go for C-sections. This is the reason why we all have to wait for few hours in her clinic.
I am very thankful to have her during my past labours. When I was too painful and cried for C-section, she was there encourage me and ensure me& BB will be safe. There was once when my labour took too long hours, she called Paediatric to labour room and check my BB immediately when he was born.
I really believe that if we want to build a healthy and professional medical system in Malaysia, we really need to give more respect to these “old school” drs. Don’t give bad review simply because Dr Tan didn’t please you or put a smiling face during ur visit.
Her job is to treat patients not selling ice-cream.
Her charge is reasonable but u really need to wait 1-2hours during visit. You can check with nurse whether she is in labour room or OT (operation theatre) so that you can plan ur visit.
I have been visiting Dr Tan since 2010 with 4 normal birth under her hands, I will still recommend her for those mummies who want to avoid C-section, who still believe in normal birth and breastfeeding.
