★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad experience. I hope he will be courteous and friendly to all patients and family members especially those ordinary folks, not with pride and arrogantly. A good doctor listen to patient carefully and let patient participate actively in all decisions related to their health and health care. If the doctor easily becomes irritated or impatient when patient ask questions, the patient will reluctant to share troubling symptoms or to speak up for fear of making the doctor angry. This, in turn, has a negative effect especially when sick. So think twice and if possible, consult first.

Everything takes his own sweet time.
Answer your question like he knows it all.
Waited for him few hours just to get a 10 minutes consult.
Useless.
Don’t ever ever ever visit this doctor. Like don’t.
Go other doctor. Not him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The nurse asked me to come in at 8.00 a.m. to register and get a number. Then she asked me to come back around 12.00 noon. We went there and waited, but to no avail. He didn't show up at all. The nurses were nowhere to be seen. We decided to walk out! Another patient had been waiting for him since 8.30 a.m., and his previous appointments had been rescheduled three times. What I don't understand is why the nurse asked us to come in at 8.00 a.m. to register when we could do so at 12.00 noon. I'm curious what makes him so highly recommended by some.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Wong & Pantai is supposed to be one of the most reputable hospitals in treating stroke patients as you can easily browse and check online in Penang. My experience with Dr Wong was initially fair and somewhat pleasant despite long waiting time as expected when you are one of the “supposed” famous Doctors and it is pretty obvious we would send our loved ones to get the best treatment within our financial flexibility. However, as I moved outstation for work, my dad’s guardian was largely in charge with following up with Dr on recovery and follow up needed. For all those that are keen to know if it is worth checking out, my honest answer is don’t. You end up wasting whole day of your time and when it is your turn the nurses would normally call you to inform you to come over. But there was one appointment where Dr Wong had a bad day and put it out on us. I understand Dr’s have their bad days too but to put it out on us rather than putting patience and care definitely made us feel neglected. He even mentioned a few words that weren’t very nice and I hope whoever that seeks Dr help do not experience the same thing as us.
