★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My go-to fix for Penang Assam Laksa whenever I miss a taste of home. Just boil the soup and add on any ingredients you like. You can also use canned sardine (drain away the sauce) if there isn't any fresh ikan kembung (especially for those who live overseas). Use less water for the soup to be kau kau! Highly recommended. Ho chiak!

The taste of the soup bases never fail to bring a sense of comfort whenever I crave for Penang Curry Mee, Hokkien Mee and Assam Laksa. It is so easy and quick to prepare them at home.
