History of FIST
Began offering two BIT programmes in 1997
Migrated part of its faculty members and all the students to the Cyberjaya campus in mid 1999
Formally split into two in 2000: Faculty of Information Technology (FIT, currently known as Faculty of Computing and Informatics (FCI)) and Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FIST)
