β β β β β For me, the foods were superb and delicious. But the facilities over there are quite disaster; the place is hot, waiting time was too long. As this restaurant is popular, they should upgrade the place to facilitate many people as the place has high turnover rate. U gain more so you should spend more.

β β β β β Well, the food was decent. Nothing to hype. The onky attraction is the mentarang bakar and belangkas bakar. But the belangkas (horse shoe crab) was very small. Like the size of my palm.
The lady (who I suspected the owner, Faridah, wearing glasses) was very cold and not friendly. She came to our table just to count what we took from the nasi cumpur area. Didnβt even ask if we havenβt received any order yet or even how was the food. Nope, she just didnβt care.
The fish curry was not good. The fish was not fresh at all. The sorong celup tepung was bad also. The sotong wasnβt fresh. Thatβs not something you would expect when coming to a fishermen area. Why they cant serve fresh seafood??? So weird!
The price is quite expensive for a kampung restaurant.
Overall, bot planning to come back here. If I come, itβs just because I want to eat the mentarang bakar because itβs not easy to be found somewhere else. Thatβs all.

A place i will visit for mentarang , friendly owner. Place always full with crowd and if you want comfy and good services suggest to come early of operational hours..

β β β β β I think the food taste quite decent. Was excited to try mentarang and they taste quite nice. Its bigger than mussel, texture is soft and not chewy like mussel, a bit juicier as well. I ordered the mentarang bakar which is served with sauce. Did order mentarang masak lemak cili api but didnt get to taste it due to bad service. After some(probably more) waiting, found out few of our orders werent prepared. Saw some other good reviews so probably i was one of those unlucky customers. I think there are so many room for improvements, as they have a lot of customers, should have enough cash to improve their service. For starter, they have lots of empty tables without chairs. Next, why is the place for taking order and payment the same? Its a very long slow queue! The cashier himself cant keep track which one have ordered and which one have not. Lastly, should have better manners. When we didnt get our order, none of the worker say sorry. This, i give up.

β β β β β Its one of the many mentarang bakar outlets in the area. Lots of pengunjung but amazingly the service was fast. the food was not hot enough including the self service portion. We were served using a chipped plate. I guess the owner did not manage to wash the used plates fast enough.

β β β β β Delicious food. Really taste awesome. It's my first time trying Horseshoe crab. I wanted to try grill horseshoe crab but they are out of stock. Only left 'Gulai Lemak'. Price is moderate, not that expensive. I will come again here next time.

β β β β β Visited this place during weekdays on early march. There was no crowd at that time so service was fast. A bit pricey tho.
?Mentarang bakar - 5/5 cooked to perfection, large, juicy and sweet
?Sotong goreng tepung - 4/5 decent and crispy but I was expecting to get fresh squid instead of the typical frozen squid
?Udang galah masak lemak - 4/5 decent broth but portion is small despite the steep price
?Ikan Sembilang masak gulai - 4/5 decent gulai utara but the fish slices were really small ?
?Ikan sembilang masak asam pedas - 1/5 a bit fishy and have a unique taste, again fish slices were really tiny
