β β β β β Definitely the place for wine lovers, their selection is quite simply huge, with a nice selection of cigars too, excellent food in a relaxed air conditioned environment. Extensive cigar list too!

β β β β β KL, particularly Taman Desai, is not short of nice wine bar - I've been to some of them.. Ceggo Boardroom, 18G, Wineknot, Wine Kaki.. and now I can add Gallo Wine Bar to the list. By far the most beautiful, elegant, and atas compared to the rest in this area, this outlet is located on the first floor of a corner shoplot (the ground floor is occupied by a bar).. you'd probably miss this place if you don't pay enough attention.
What I love about Gallo is the fact that it's a speakeasy kind of place, as I like to enjoy my wine in peace and serene environment. The interior was tastefully renovated with plush furniture all around.
βΎThey boast not less than 100 varieties of wine from all over the world which makes it quite extensive list to choose from - be it sub RM100 wine to 4-figure ones. In the end I settled for a 2011 Gigondas which was full bodied
βΎTheir cheese platter was good and I enjoyed nibbling the few varieties of cheese served on the wooden board.
I read that the food is quite good too but I normally do not eat late at night so I can't comment too much.
Leo's verdict - I would recommend love birds, close friends, business associates and all the wine lovers to visit Gallo Wine Bar despite the fact that it's pricier than average restaurants out there. For the price you pay, you'll get all round experience - good food, fine wine (depending on budget), knowledgeable & friendly staff, and last but not least - perfect atmosphere to relax, socialise and networking.
Note: they have a bigger outlet in Sri Petaling which I'm sure the standard is on par (if not better) with this one.

Nice service.
Though they want to make u pay each time u eat instead of waiting for the bill at the end. Liquor is on tab but not the food.
But I enjoyed it time here.
