โ โ โ โ โ We wanted to visit Tapestry but the queue was too long. Ended up stumbling upon this hidden gem instead and boy were we pleased with our discovery. The place has a rustic feel to it, somewhat resembling an old fashioned western pub. We reached at about 12+pm on a Wednesday afternoon and the restaurant wasnโt crowded. We ordered their beef sandwich and pasta of the day which was a pesto penne with grilled fish. Both tasted great. The beef slices in the sandwich were pretty juicy for a well done steak (we ordered well done). Loved that they used real potatoes for their fries on the side! Probably the only thing to comment was we hoped they had a bit more dressing in the sandwich to make it less dry overall. The penne pasta had a really springy texture to it! Which was quite uncommon compared to the normal penne pasta weโve tasted out there. The overall felt a bit dry for me (wished there was more pesto sauce), but my husband loved it. The grilled fish was really fresh too. Overall, we enjoyed our food very much and will definitely be back again. Also worth noting is that their prices are pretty reasonable. Great job, Gavel!

โ โ โ โ โ The owner (maybe) was quite rude and allowed her dog playing around in the restaurant when the customers are eating inside. Don't get me wrong, I do love dog. However when the dog interrupted us and it actually took/bite away my friend's face mask (fabric) she took it back and literally ask my friend to wash it himself then let it dry to re-wear. I found it funny but at the same time quite rude too. Can't u apologise and at least offer to give a disposable face mask?? Btw, food is ok but slightly expensive.
To reply the owner: No, I'm not upset by the dog. Skip is lovely. I was upset by the manager. Ask the customers if they were okay with the dog in while dining will be much appreciated. Besides, there were no apology from her at that time made us felt unhappy. Overall i still think this is a nice place to hang out with good food. Just that my first visit was not entirely a pleasant experience.

โ โ โ โ โ What a nice find? quaint cosy setting, just right for end of year dinner! With a very welcoming pooch and attentive servers, we ordered soup of the day, sweet potato fries to share, our mains and 1 rib eye steak to share...all delicious ????. Really enjoyed our makan ?

โ โ โ โ โ Had a team celebration here last Friday night. The food and hospitality is awesome and we will definitely be back. The Wellington is not to be missed. Donโt forget to end the night with the apple pie and choco lava. Thank you Denise and Warren. You guys rock ?

โ โ โ โ โ Good food with a nice selection of craft beers. We really enjoyed the whole sea bass with roasted veg, the fish is a little too salty but moist and flavourful, the roasted veg is not dry at all. The rigatoni with salmon is creamy and yummy.

โ โ โ โ โ I came upon this bar/cafe while looking for a quick lunch. However, upon discovery that there was a carvery on offer I had a much heavier lunch than anticipated.
The food was plentiful and tasty, the Yorkshire puddings and beef especially. They were well priced and very welcome.
The craft beer selection was decent, and included draft as well as bottled.
The staff were excellent, always on gand and eager to offer advice, without being intrusive. Service was quick with drinks and the carvery was self service, so this could be done in a hurry if you wished.
The restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere.

Service was a little slow but overall pleasant experience with good food. Did more than enough to convince me to return for another visit.
Food ordered: beef burger, tomato based seafood pasta, Mediterranean chicken.
2nd visit - not rated
Turned away by staff due to restaurant fully booked for Sunday event.
3rd visit - 3.5 stars
Seabass (burger and pasta) taste old with soft flesh and strong fishy smell. Didn't get the nice Latte art on cappuccino was disappointing. Staff simply laughed off after informing on both scenario.
Food ordered: grilled chicken Wings, fish burger, seafood pesto pasta.
Overall ratings - 4.2 stars
Will return to try their Sunday grill before giving my final verdict.
