Gem Beach Resort

Love at the first sight Very cozy and spacious room for such a price. Located far from busy city yet just next to the shores..the seaview room is just majestic Got the room for rm70/night at Agoda..i dont complain much for this price. The swimming pools are beautiful and not crowded at all.such a good place to pamper yourself

Dont expect too much. 1st impression, just like abandoned resort. Quiet & far from people. Big trees in the middle resort is nice but please don’t make it like hunted trees. Room are good, large & comfortable.

Gem beach one of the finest resort long time ago. But now im bit dissapointed. Pros -Nice n lovely place if u dont want people to disturb u. -just half an hour from city center. -lovely view of the beach -nice n big swimming pool. -easy to locate Cons -no restaurant or cafe -dirty -rat n bed bugs in my room. -scary n creepy at night Overall -to management please do something to upgrade this lovely place. Before this gem beach one of the finest resort n kuala terengganu.please find new investor or somebody that can inject something new to this resort. To people/customers please support this resort.

I booked for 2 nights but instead checked out after merely 3 hours of stay. The 1st room that we got based on the rate that we booked is having broken AC. The room itself is at the far end of the block and no one was there apart from my family. Went back to the reception which considerably quite a walk to change the room. We accepted the lower grade room to suit our preferences to be nearer to the reception and to be having other guests checked in at nearby rooms (which i don't think any, the claim made by the receptionist with quite suspicious smile). We entered the room and while my wife is having shower with the daughter, i could clearly heard the kncoking sound cam from the door, it was once while I'm trying to have a quick nap, and happened again when I'm about to go up to have a smoke, the sound also been confirmed by my wife. I straight away read the review about other people's exprriences with this place and quickly decided to check out immediately after Asar before the day turns dusk. My wife agreed with the decision without any hesitation which she claimed having the same eery feeling since the first time arriving here. The thing that I regret most is not the money that we burned through the lost days of stay but the false advertisement and claim made by the hotel management through their posting in the hotel booking apps. We do hope same experiences will not be went through by other peole who are less fortunate than us (we are quite fortunate to be coming from the same states and live only 1-hour drive away from the hotel). Just imagine if the person come from farther places, to experience such things and decided to stay through their booking. The safety of the families will definitely surely will be jeopardized, the remote location of the resort with No security personnel will simply enable ANYONE to enter the resort's area and breach into the rooms (our room chain lock is malfunction and can't be used, anyone could simply pick the lock and enter the room anytime).

The resort is out of maintenance. It's not safe for kids and dark along the corridor. And my room was blackout. Too creepy. At the night I saw many of boar walk along the resort. The resort didn't same as the last time I came. This is the worst resort. Please keep the resort safe for kids and other

Ok this is a very honest review. The room itself is nice. There are towels, water kettle, toilet paper, the soap is in a soap dispenser place alongside the shower, no bath tub and there's an iron. The pool is great and our room have a great view of the beach. The resort looks a bit creepy at night and you might have to watch your step for uneven paths. Because it's an old resort there are a few broken ceilings, an ornamental pool filled with algae and moss and a dried up water fountain at the front of the resort. There are not a lot of people so it's a good and bad thing. Good because you have this quiet and serene environment. Bad because it's too quiet with only the sound of the waves crashing. All in all of you enjoy the rustic and the haunted resort kind of feel then I recommend this place. Just don't expect much.

The place is serene with less people/visitors on weekdays. The scenery at the resort is beautiful overlooking beach. You can choose a room with beach view to enjoy sunrise. The room is nice and spacious with complete necessity for visitors. The price also super affordable looking at the comfort it offers. Some part of the resort are a little rundown looking but overall the resort still looks nice. It is little spooky at night but nothing major.

This is by far my worse hotel experience ever. Lets begin with the positives as I always like to see the bright side of things, it is absolutely huge with a private beach area (I think) However, the place is completely neglected in maintenance. From the moment we took our bags from the car, an eerie feeling follows and its just wasnt right. Checked into our room that felt like it was miles apart, the room itself was in shambles, it was just a poor poor hotel experience. We checked out less than 30 minutes later and donated our money to this place as it could not be refunded. It would be perfect getaway for a bunch of friends planning to throw away a bachelor party as they could party the night away without anyone or anything (maybe) within the near vicinity.
