★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a string instruments shop and not plucking instruments or guitar shop. Previous review written by Bear & Bear bear should be false review. Georgetown House of Strings never sold any guitars or giving service to repair any broken guitars .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommended to get your violin here. The instructor will help you to fine tune your instrument which is something most musical stores wont do for you. The price is very competitive. Overall, talk to the instructor for your requirement. Beware of dog though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad customer service, my friend and I went to the shop, wanted to buy the string and bow, but we have been treated badly, my friend was ask to stay outside as told SOP of the shop, even both of us already has our 2nd Dose vaccine. There only 2 of us at the shop at that moment and no other customer. Futher more we have to make appointments.
The bow quality also very bad, it was bend and the hair was twisted, the owner still insisted it is very high quality, and I don't allow to choose.
Also I don't not allow to see the string that I going to buy, some more very expensive one as well, we ended walk away empty handed. As poor quality and not allow to see the products. Some more the owner told me that they don't service anyone that didn't buy the violin from him. Hence we not recommend anyone buy from them. Don't fool buy other comments on the page. As suspected they are their family and close friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great place if you are searching for quality strings instruments and accessories. The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable, with a very nice after-sales service. It was somehow very different from most of the musical shops, as the owner really tried his best to solve my problems about the instrument, instead of trying to make some sales. I will definitely get back here for another purchase and service in the future.

He takes heart even in entry level violins, taking time to adjust the necessary for brilliant sound and easy playing - This encourages young learners to produce good sound and sensitive hearing while they’re mastering their skills.

The owner is a veteran in the field and was able to show and explain the difference in quality and price of each of them to a complete beginner. It is a shop run by passion and experience, that allowed the owner to go into great details of the product.
The owner also has contacts in the field and recommends tutors if needed.
I highly recommend this place for people looking to purchase a violin or cello, especially if they want to learn more about them before making the purchase.
